In this replay, both counters were the same, only the battle timer ticked a glint of a second sooner than the cap timer, but at any given glance, the numbers were the same, unless you stared them down and took your focus off the battle

I wouldn’t have realized that would have been a draw. Would have thought capping was the right move too.

honestly i think the biggest throw of the game was the emil not actually being in the fight for a massive part of the game, then losing half of their health to one shot. the early game in WoT is *massve* when determining outcomes. one extra shot of damage put in during the early game might make or break an encounter in the later game. so the emil just putzing around and 1. choosing to sit in a spot that is highly dependent on how fast you get there and where the enemies go for as long as he did was a massive waste of his time and 2. choosing to stick around at a position that he couldn't actually see over for the next few minutes, rendering his tank almost useless if not for the few shots he got into the double barreled tank. 3. losing a ton of health to the BZ was a really bad move. trading a bounce for almost 900 health due to going out entirely side on is just textbook bad heavy tank play. any extensive time you are sitting around with nothing to shoot at in WoT is time spent losing the game in my opinion. those are times when you should look for flanking opportunities or be advancing. in this case, flanking inside the big building might have been a good move and the emil might have been able to shoot at something before it literally drove into his face.

Jingles I think capping was the right decision there, although the T-56 didn’t take the most direct route into the cap, I think you’ll notice at the end the arty was not in the top right corner anymore. He was on the eastern flank gradually pushing south. The Skoda didn’t really have the time. It was just unfortunate he misjudged the timing of the cap

Honestly: Capping wasn't stupid. The arty moved. And the timer was actually counting down nearly simultaneously.

I see they loaded the skill. Jingles if you grill the enemies when they do it, you should mention it when the player does too

Fun fact about the timer. It was going to cap at the same time as the game-timer runs out up until the last 30 sec where the cap-timer suddenly starts to lag behind.

Once again Jingles does a Jingles. Arty was moving and was in bushes so they would see each other at the same time at best. The cap timer hit zero the same time as a the game timer and even displayed that the base was capped, so should have been a win. He played well, the game threw the game not the player.

When both teams cap there needs to be a 5 second gap between the winning and losing team or it counts as a draw, perhaps the Skoda thought he had 5 seconds grace at the end of battle (as there is in clan battles) but to be honest a 14:14 score at the end of play is a great game compared to the usual 15:5 or 5:15 raffle stomp that are the usual result in world of tanks nowadays, great commentary as usual tough.

Yeah the Emil line used to be basically direct upgrades of the French Autoloading heavies that didn't have the engine power, but could keep their speed once they reached it. Nowadays the nerfed the whole lines ground resistances you're never getting past 25kph on em unless your on hard ground or spec for mobility. Even then I did that and the Emil II barely gets 35kph on medium terrain.

That BZ thing...if he hit him for 800+ dmg, that wasn't a shot to the turret. It "only" as around 225 mm pen on that HE shell, pretty sure he hit him in the hull

According to the replay the cap timer went to 0 almost at the same time as the battle timer. Or is that a bug? And the game play by the Emil II wasn't very good, a gold spammer that didn't even do very well.

TBH, I didn't even notice that it would get that close quite until the 10s countdown. Until then it felt to me like "yeah, plenty of time left". The Skoda guy probably didn't even notice it also... ON the other hand: I am not sure if I had tried to cap here. Greedy me would have probably gone after the pig

The reason the World of Tanks wiki refers to the Emil II as having good mobility is that the wiki hasn't been updated since the Kranvagn line got nerfed.

strange, they must have patched the win conditions, there use to be a few second delay at end of match. unlike WoWs, where the game ends instantly when a win condition ends

Hey Mr. Jingles. Love you for your age-appropriate interpretation of things ;-) But, the Centurion 7/1 didn't hit the turret front, he just missed. Also the BZ did not make a mockery of the Emil 2 its turret, the BZ has hit and penned the upper front plate. Nevertheless, thank you very much for another high quality video!

I can't fault the T56. This wasn't a throw, this was a calculated loss. Also, the Emil II and Kran got a huge mobility nerf recently, because they were challenging the supremacy of reward tanks. And as the recent Progetto nerf and what I can only assume is the upcoming UDES 15/16 nerf will show, that's not something wargaming, lower case intentional, will allow.

Emil 2 was the thrower even considering the tank had been nerfed. He literally sat in a TD/Med position for like a few minutes doing nothing and kept spamming heat through rubble instead of just using the APCR rounds. He also kept driving on side ways like a bot against a BZ, which if u had two brain cells to put 2 and 2 together, would come to the conclusion that yeah, that'd be stupid to do. He tunnel visioned so hard on the JPZ even when the UDES was spotted before he exited cover. His aim was terrible, his reload choices were terrible, and overall a terrible game by the Emil 2.

wanted to watch as a WoW fan but dang some good reminders on why I don't play WoT anymore, encountered stupidly designed tanks with dumb gimmicks, like those that just ignore your armor like that BZ, most of the game was pace flicking a single piece of cover, and not a single round of non-gold ammo was fired.

I would have went for a draw or cap to win in this situation too.

The right idea but missed the time by seconds. If he left the arta who clearly knew what he was doing would have run and he would have never spotted him in time. The second he missed the cap timer it was over.

Wasn't there at some point 4sec over-time when someone was capping?

He was less than half of a second late with cap. I wonder how accurate the timers are in players clients.

I loaded WoT up recently after a few years. Played 4 matches. Uninstalled in disgust. I was buried in gold rounds.

id blame the draw more on the game than the players. its really dumb that you can cap the circle within the match time and STILL lose. the capture time SHOULD reflect actual time to win.
