This civic is insane, the only one close to it is the green 4wd k20 turbo hatch and that car is not trapping anywhere near the 215mph, if any fwd civic is going to break into the 6s 1/4 mile will be this civic, the others are not even close... Amazing set up for fwd.
The awd civics have a min weight of 2600lbs and a turbo restriction to 7685 unlike the speedfactory civic that has no turbo restriction size. Fact is the awd civics are a new thing and they are already cracking 7.5’s, they will surpass the speedfactory civic very soon, you can even see the awd preyoonto civic wax the speedfactory cars ass at 1:01. That green eg section 8 was wrote off not sure if its coming back as it crashed pretty bad.
@@DirtyDanRacimg true but i believe that car is still on a 76 and weighs over the minimum for WildStreet. And Jasons 4 door car is going awd b series. Speed factory will be in the awd game this year but not this car. They set the bar so high with fwd it probably wont ever be dethroned in its class criteria. Awd cars are cool but fwd cars are way more fun to watch. Its cool watching hondas take over all the classes though with cars everyone hates to love. Its bitter sweet lol.
It went a long way until today...i really admire all the work and dedication on this car, its the proof that is possible to dream of something that never existed 💪💪💪
I love it in his last run when the engine is smoking, his first thought is to get off to the side of the track so the oil doesn't go everywhere... what a legend!
Ed Jack making to the 6sec pass in a FWD is not as easy as a RWD or AWD. The reason is grip. You are pulling the car forward instead of pushing it. If you see the trap speed that civic is making is for a 6sec pass on a RWD or AWD. 💪🏽 That without saying that they are producing 2000hp out of a 4 cyl engine ;)
shah Danield with no bars.... years ago Stephanie eggum did it with wheelie (yes I understand the oxymoron there) bars on her civic. Even though it’s fwd, weight still transfers the same. If this car had bars, it’d be in the 6’s
@@josiahbutler2254 they’re “traction bars” very similar to a wheelie bar but instead of preventing the car from doing a wheelie to its bumper it helps prevent some weight transfer to the rear wheels so you can get better traction
the foxbody was a coward playin staging games again like they did with steves green civic the yr before tryin to get the civic to stage first so they stay on 2 step longer to try and cause problems what a shitty strategy. they should make a rule for that called the staging rule or something. they knew that mustang wouldve got gapped for sure.
I'm Honda for life...but with the rule restrictions in the class this car runs in, there's no way this car will make it into the 6s. If they bring back the Pro FWD class, where they allow full tube chassis, larger turbo, a much lighter minimum weight and unlimited slick size, then yeah it will run 6s all day...but not in Wild Street trim.
@@varqtube this car has went from 8.0 to 7.4 within those rule restrictions 🤷♂️ never say never homie. The car to watch out for this year tho is Jason's awd b series 4 door 😎
he was goin to but he staged 2 step to long because mustang wouldnt stage which caused him to have problems. haley was trying to burn her opponent down. same thing she tried doin with green civic last year
3:11 min. Wait the mustang getting Chased down and beaten by a Civic smh.. domestic needs to step their game up, yah looking real sick right about now.... 😰
@@cantho11 probably because I know all those guys, I've seen the time slips. His reaction times are more than good, the other times down the track speak for themselves. You are fully aware that a fwd car cant get all the power down in the beginning right? Weight transfer is a bitch, they'd just light the tires up. Why do you think the car pulls so hard at the top end?
They went out for a last test and tune day before retiring the car back in July and had a really bad wreck, but they were already and still are working on an awd civic eg that’s gonna have the same or very similar motor setup as this one. It should run low 7s to high 6s once it’s dialed in
@@tegnando2697 Well good luck to ya. James and Speedfactory didnt get where they are at overnight. A lot of hard work and long hours. My buddy Matt is part owner and Ive watched them grow into what they have become over the years.
Fucking he'll I don't like 4 cylinders but credit were credit is due that's insane gotta sort out the reliability tho it isn't the best apart from that tho👍
