What about the insane decision to try to cap Robert mugabe as a box-to-box midfielder in 2014 despite the fact that he was well into old age AND from Zimbabwe? Absolutely ridiculous, the man was clearly a number 10
I knew Jarvis would feature, but it still saddened me to hear his name read out. He was good, just that entire Wolves team wasn't good enough. Then his career fell off a cliff, mainly due to injuries.
Jesse Lingard is a 26 year old teenage sensation who was looking to make a dent on the England squad, he’s still young and unproven, it’s not right that he’s in this list 🤣
@@glennb6020 So he deserves a cap over other proven strikers or even mediocre ones at least with goals on their belt? Giroud has physical attributes to contribute to a high press, actually scored 0 goals for his country's WC win, and most of all had goals for club to earn caps in the first place. Lingard, at 26, is not a developing player. If not for United's golden bench, he wouldn't be called up at all.
The fuss over Solanke is based on his exploits in the under 21's where he was scoring for fun, however it seems that in the senior game he can't just get away with being bigger and stronger than the other kids
Gone in massively unfairly on Matt Jarvis there, horrible injury troubles marred his time at Norwich, and he was an incredible player on his day. I've met him too, he's an incredibly humble guy, not the cocky type to plaster "England International" on his CV at all...
Someone has to hold you accountable... If Olympiacos don't finish third in group B you will shake Declan Rice's hand. If Kieran Trippier dosent score in the champions league match this season you will eat a finger. If group E does not end Liverpool, Napoli, Salzburg then Genk you will make a 10 minute video praising Paul Mcshane. If the order for group G doesn't finish Leipzig, Lyon, Benefica, Zenit then you will do a a six hour live stream. If Ole is still at Man United by Christmas you have to shower in a gallon milk. If Brighton don't get relagated you will make an entire video wearing a 'I love Paul McShane' t-shirt If Brentford get promoted you will get a Pontus Jansson tattoo. If Cauley Woodrow scores more than 10 league goals this season you have to eat a bucket of cheese on camera. If(and that’s a big if) David Silva is in England city by September 2020 you have to lick the fanny of a local pigeon, kiss a dead badger and subscrice to Football Daily. If Glen Murray is still in Premier league next september you have to box Joe from Football Daily as well as a thumb war with Ciaran If Niasse is still in the Premier league next season you have to eat *the* scarf. If Pogba is not at Real Madrid next season you will fly Spain and personally apolgize for getting thier hopes up.
Sure bro you're doing good but just try and wait until one of those predictions reach their expiry date. And Ole ain't getting sacked on Monday but he'll get sacked after losing to Norwich. Hold your horses buddy.
On the Dean Ashton front....he was meant to play before a World Cup qualifier and was injured by Shaun wright Phillips in training....that’s why he didn’t play that much and then eventually retired, Before that Ashton was bloody good
A) Frazier Campbell was good enough for us, the reason he barely played was because he was out for 2 years with a knee injury. When he came back, he scored 5 in 5 and got a call up🤷♂️
Some players get lucky with that 'he will come good' shtick, I still catch myself out thinking Walcott is gonna turn a corner soon... guys in his 30s now.
Say what you will about Dominic Solanke's agent, I'm amazed at Lingard's keeping him in the United squad for this long. Solanke even has more assists than Lingard this season. If they don't sell him after this season having signed Bruno, I'll be amazed.
Harry Winks is a solid player, you need to watch him play, i would be very surprised if Tottenham sold him as he is the only midfielder they have got who can actually pass the ball around, he's a decent dribbler, good tackler, he has very good tactical awareness, can't say i agree with you at all on that one.
Lingard actually is solid player, United are just crap post Ferguson era. Lingard is fast, skillfull with the ball, hardworking. He may not be a world class but he is way more than decent. Lets not forget in United even Lukaku, Sanches and Pogba couldnt play top class football. Just see Lukaku and Sanches now at inter, just like new players. I surely hope that lingard would go to another club and just can develop properly... So for him its not that he has lack of skills or something, he just is stuck in United, who wad terrible period in the past 6 years or so.
Lingard was unplayable for 2 months 3 years ago... since then hes been shit, earned a new £120k+ contract at United and become an England international. *Christ Above*
In a previous video you pronounced Theo Walcott as 'Teo' Walcott and here you pronounce Thailand as Thigh-land? That makes as much sense as being a Sunderland fan
Dean Ashton was pure class. Strong as an Ox, two footed, great in the air and technically brilliant. Can't agree with that one at all. And he wasn't actually injury either, it was an awful tackle by SW-P in England training that ended his career. Otherwise would've gone on to be a top draw centre forward. Just watch some of his highlights and you'll see how good he was.
You must hate Reading first McShane who was quality for us over a couple of years (when he wasn't injured), now Nick Shorey who next Charlie Adam. At least we've had one solid Irish player even though he retired later that season (John O'shea).
Carl Jenkinson could have got a career full of caps for Finland and feature (at least) in the Euros for Finland (which he represented in the junior national teams). Instead, he featured in one random match for England. Wise choice.
