Hello. This is Atsui. It is a jsk. I didnt realize there were no photos without the blouse. Apologies. I never thought to try opera gloves though!! That sounds so cool and I’m definitely trying that shorter blouse. I live in Texas so that is a very good idea for me. Thank you for giving me advice!!! Also, that first headpiece…. Thank you for showing it because I friggin love it!
THANK YOU FOR INTRODUCING ME TO THICC THIGH HIGH SOCKS!! I've never been able to wear anything higher than a crew, ever since I was a little kid, so I gave up on ever having cute tall socks... thank you for this blessing upon my life.
I second thunda thighs socks are p fkn comfortable They're a type of material that might collect more lint and hair and stuff tho Ive worn them this winter to stay comfy around the house and have worn them out a couple of times. But never in lolita
Yo! Kelsey from the video. Yes this dress is completely custom made from the print to the final dress. Kittykaya has this print in her dress catalogue so you can order it whenever she has her commissions opens and you can change the background color from blue to anything you want since i commissioned the piece with the desire to twin with a friend who would wear a red colorway. I have the white dandy puppeteer jester collar but i still have yet to get the right petticoat. Thanks for the advice! If you ever commission the dress print let me know so we can twin!
Snag Tights is a great place for tights! They have lots of solids, prints and 2 toned (each leg a different color). They're also super size inclusive and go up to a US size 5x🎉🎉
One thing to note: Taobao is no longer just restricted to china, you can buy from the site directly from overseas - Taobao Global Direct Shipping: Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan; - Taobao Global Consolidation and Shipping: USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan. However, you will need to use google translate as the site is in Chinese.
The jester hats from MountainGoth remind me of the winter hats that my mom made us from polar fleece in the 90s. Our family definitely went through a "polar fleece everything in bright bright colours" phase one winter. I think she got the patterns from the fabric store. That was a wild throwback!
I really appreciate your openness and honesty about resellers. So many people doing sponsorships for resellers don’t talk about the mark-ups and I thought your explanations of why they’re useful was great, without ignoring that there’s cheaper options.
One note about any tights from taobao, if they are listed as One Size they are going to be very small. If you normally need tall or plus size tights they won't fit well/at all. Sock Dreams is a good recc though, I have tall size leggies and they have a great selection of tights and over the knee style socks.
such a massive agree at 19:52 because I love using my natural hair for lolita, especially since I had a nasty incident of a time I wore a wig for a cosplay in which I developed a nasty rash on my forehead due to an unholy combination of sweat and makeup to the point that people thought I got myself into a fight 😭 also i'm so lazy to do my makeup every single time since im so oily lmao
This was such a fun video. Two toned tights are super easy to diy. Just take 2 different pairs of tights, cut a leg off each, and wear one over the other. It's also a good way to get some more use out of pretty tights that are damaged or ripped along one leg.
Lol I just finished sewing my own thigh highs YESTERDAY because I can never find ones mighty enough to contain my thighs, I’m so glad I have some place to buy them now!
A minor nitpick, but I really wish Kittykaya had featured princess seams instead of a flat piece of fabric for the front bust. It just looks a little misshapen. Otherwise I really appreciate how welcoming Lor is to the fashion. God knows we've all had to reassure newcomers that they won't be ripped apart online.
i keep Miniskirt and Cardigan for after work or conventions. but then, i can harvest limes in 130 degree Fahrenheit weather while wearing 7 layers of Lolita for weeks.
god i totally relate to the camera unfocusedness & "learning something new every time" - i still think about one episode of game grumps where arin was yelling "we do the easiest show in the world! just record gameplay and talk over it! why does something break every time???" as a streamer myself, i feel that in my bones lol. sometimes technology just doesn't wanna !!
i’ve purchased from 42 lolita a few times i’ve had the best experience with them out of most resellers i’ve tried so far. happy to see another video :333
I love hearing you discuss coordinate options! Your thoughtful, welcoming content is a big part of why I'm considering picking up some variety of Lolita fashion.
My friend has the giant OOT witch hat paired with her Gothic Lolita coords and can confirm, it is incredible and would look great with that coord Lor was suggesting for Shrimps!
Got my prom outfit from 42 lolita cause of this video (doing a ouji/goth vampire theme!) and omg I am using them from now on literally the best buying experience ever😭
Oh no audio/visual issues can get the best of any of us... 😅 I always like seeing the photos of regular people cords out in the wild and hearing more ways to style them. Also the sponsor looked interesting - the website interface looks very user-friendly.
Hi lor I met you at the hello kitty cafe earlier today I just wanted to thank you for takeing a picture with me I’ve been a big fan since 2020 you introduced me to alternative fashion and changed by life for the better you made today the best birthday ever!💗💗💗💗
It's a RU-vid video, I think most viewers should realize it's casual and not expect Hollywood levels of film editing haha. It's all good, the content is great and that's what matters
Thank you for doing your videos you make me smile dealing with a growth on my back that is causing me a lot of pain and it's your videos that inspire me to design and create more Lolita dresses I can wear I've already made two one is more costume Style because of the fact that I have a matching mask and a matching doll little sherry that I created with it and the other one is more of an overall Style I'm also working on a blouse that I can coordinate with some of my other skirts I have made
you can just take two thights, put one on each leg and the the remaining legs around your waist and then you get split thights. no need to buy actual split thights unless you plan on wearing a bodycon dress\skirt. hope my explanation made sense tho
I can understand how you could be critical of your video quality, but I don't think that really matters, especially since your content and presentation are so high.
A gothic lolita from Chile? wow...when Lor started to talk about the petticoats, i remembered who the Cueca dresses (the national dance of our country) use petticoats with the puffy look who can give that dress more volume, thinking in something more available here.
I love these videos! It's so awesome to see all these good coords and also fun ideas for restyling the same piece. I am drooling over the blouses for the last jsk!
Hi Lor, I'm new to your channel. I've been slowly watching your vids over the past two weeks. Tossing up a idea for a future vid if you haven't done it yet: I was at JoAnn's looking at the pattern book and they got a new lolita pattern Simplicity 9735. I'd love for you to review its look/design as well as the other sew-it-yourself similar ones like Simplicity 8127, 8285, 8444, 8443, 8670, 1300, 8317 (is this Wa Lolita?). And McCall's 2112, 2035, 2098. I don't expect you to buy the patterns but rather do a review using online images. The back of the packages also have line-work of what the pattern actually includes and you can see the silhouettes better. Like in the McCall's 2035 I was surprised it included a button up shirt that you barely see on the model herself.
Regarding two tones tights, my brand Fluffy Tori have now a few pastel colors in stock, and we can do other colors on demand. And they plus size and tall friendly. Let me know if anyone wants a link.
Hello Lovely Lor, I’m a big fan of your work and how you always show Lolita awareness, I’m actually interested in wearing Lolita clothing, not crazy ones that have so much detail just simple ones, but, I’m too scared to try it, I’m scared my parents won’t accept my decision despite me being 18 and that I’ll be made fun of at school, I do have a friend who’s goth but, I-I’m scared she might make fun of me as well. Even if they all said it’s fine, I’m not sure if there’s any Lolita stores in Virginia..
There are almost no physical shops that sell lolita fashion anywhere (not just Virginia), so if you want to get into it your best bet is to try buying online. Lor has a lot of videos to help with deciding where to start! You can definitely start out with more toned down and casual coords if you're nervous about getting judged for wearing the fashion. Hell, you can also just decide to only wear it at home at first to get used to how wearing it feels; nobody is going to throw you into the deep end and there's plenty of lolitas who start out nervous about wearing the fashion in the first place. Take small steps, look for a comfortable lolita community online (you can always leave if you try one you don't like!) and don't sweat it if things aren't perfect right away; building a lolita wardrobe can take years and sometimes you buy pieces you don't end up loving, but that's all part of finding your own style. Good luck!
Hello, lor. I have a question. So I had watched your video on is Amazon a good place to by lolita clothes from, and was wondering if a dress if there could be changed in a way to make it more suited for lolita.

not going to lie. It sucks that the first five minutes of the video is just disclaimers to avoid some incredibly pedantic chronically online user from getting upset with you for doing ANYTHING anymore
