Christmas 1983 was ridiculously cold on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I believe lows got into the single digits.

Thanks for posting. Christmas 1983 was spent at my grandmother's house in South Carolina. And it was COLD. Even though it was right before I came into the world, the only other cold Christmas was 1961 from what I had always been told.

I was almost a month old at the time. My first Christmas was a cold one here in the 'Burgh that year.

I remember that Christmas very clearly. It was just so cold.

Sally Wiggin is still at WTAE today. She does a fantastic job at the station, no matter what she does there.

I was living near Akron ohio at the time at the age of 11 and it was the coldest Christmas I experienced until around 1989.
