Prior to World War Two, the Royal New Zealand Air Force purchased twenty-one Loyd Carriers for use as aircraft starters. This example is owned by the National Army Museum of New Zealand, and is described by Assistant Curator of Technology, George Pycraft, here during the Wings Over Wairarapa airshow held at Hood Aerodrome, Masterton, New Zealand.
