I'm on the same boat guys...I've always had 360 and origional xbox. NEVER owned a PS in my life, only cuz I was just used to xbox and I liked the controllers better. After this pathetic and greedy attempt, I have lost ALL respect for Microsoft man. I'll be getting a PS4 soon, and guess what... I'm liking the new PS4 controller design! I got to try one the other day and I have no complaints. :) -Oh, yeah...and plus I get to play "The Last of Us." I always wanted to try that game.

Five years later into the 2022s... This used to be a joke, or a comparison. Now, it is actually happening. You buy a car, and certain features, performance modes, etc which are built into the car, are locked off, behind a paywall. It breaks my heart as a car lover, especially of cars before the 2000s, to see where cars are headed.

Exactly. Not only that but their exclusives have been garbage anyway. Quantum Break was a glitchy mess. It was supposed to be a Television Show Meets Video Game and it failed at that cause the acting and story was absolute shit. I bought the console all hyped for Gears 4 and 5 and they were garbage, nothing like the original trilogy. I played many more exclusives and I wasn't happy with them at all. Sold my One X and bought a 360 Elite again.

Yeah, companies are literally selling us save slots and gunsight dots for real money nowadays, not in-game currency. And especially now that more and more games are bought digitally, rather than a physical copy, companies have complete control over who and how many people have access to paid content. Gamestops will soon go the way of the Blockbusters. The future has bright and dark spots. It's all about doing the right thing. And as consumers, especially as gamers, we have no shortage of opportunities to band together and take the moral high ground even when it's not the easy choice. Especially when.

Better believe that they still intend to implement things like this. They only backed away because they realized how much of a failure it would have been. They are finding ways to get what they originally wanted through Windows 10 and possibly a new future console. Unless we fight back, this type of shit will be forced.

But after that, there’s this thing I like to call the “Metal Gear Solid 4 effect.” After that game got released, all PS3’s exclusives were just badass. MGS4, Uncharted 2/3, The Last of Us, etc. I remembered getting tired of my 360 and saying “man, all of the cool games are on PS3, also my 360 is having fucking RROD again... why am I still sticking to 360?” So yeah, idk if we can use the word “bland” considering PS3’s “blandness” had a waaaaay better catalog. PS3 just had the problem of being expensive as fuck on release, but it aged like fine wine... and ended up being better than the 360 imho.
