I really like your videos your very good at setting up small boats! I have a 1991 Johnson 20 HP I'm currently running on an 12' inflatable. I want to buy a 14' Jon boat and new SS prop I'm looking to get the best top speed I can get do you think I should buy a G3 1442(advertised at 200lbs) or do you think I should buy an Alumicraft 1442(advertised as 230lbs)? Should I get a 13P ss prop to replace my aluminum stock one? Also I'm using a hydrofoil with my inflatable should I take it off when I get a jon boat or will it not effect my top speed? I plan to run the boat as light as possible just me(165lbs) gas, cooler and occasional passenger.
I am leaning toward G3, alumacraft seems to me not as well made. Yes get SS prop it’s 1-2 MPH faster than aluminum. I would take hydrofoil off, you will find out that your motor will plane Jon boat faster than inflatable and it will be faster .
