Yamaha ZUMA 

For european folks like myself these scooters represent what we rode when were 14 to 18 years old. And of course we modified them, trashed them, and all kinds of law breaking stuff. And so I was saying to a friend of mine how interesting it was to see you guys enjoying these 50cc in a more mature and more knowledgeable way than we did. What you guys call zuma were called bw's (big wheels) over here and were the most popular scooters. Theses were known to be easy to modify, easy to wheelie, and easy to steal. Great work guys, keep going!

I have a 1990 pre bugeye with vertical engine that I bought in 2004. Now has 1,972 original miles. All stock and runs perfectly. Have some new carb parts, new belt and gaskets as spare parts still in plastic packaging. Also have new rear Bridgestone tire that I never installed. Carb gets cleaned each year or two and drive for inspection in NY. Drain gas and then it sits in garage. Maybe driven 120 miles total in last 10 years.

LOVE the Yamaha Zuma's. I've owned several through the years. Love the 2 strokes but currently running a 125 Zuma as a pit bike at races. Great machines & good video going over differences in models & years. TV

Probably why the parts for the Zuma 125 are drying up is that the 2016 and newer 125s are a newer design.

Just bought a 99 zuma 50 and the rear tire is froze , runs great though. Any ideas before I tear into it ? Rear brake is froze. I’m gonna assume it’s something to do with the rear brake shoes ? Any opinions are appreciated 👍🏽

Prebug Zumas are impossible to find. I have a 2004 bugeye Zuma and love it. I am definitely a 2 stroke guy. I have a Yamaha RD350 street bike, a Yamaha DT250 dual sport bike, and a KX250 dirt bike. I'm also a carburetor guy, and wouldn't even consider anything with EFI on it. To me the rear brake on a 50cc scooter (or a 70cc scooter) just isn't a big deal. No matter how fast it is, it's just not heavy enough to need a rear disc. I was easily able to do stoppies on a friends Honda Nighthawk 250 with a drum FRONT brake.

A limited run of custom hubs for bugeye would be great. Only way to get Aerox wheels on them is to use the disc brake case halve or custom hub. The Kiesler wheels need a hub too. There’s no options for these things, help us!

You should try swapping the zuma 50f with a zuma bug eye crankcase , i did it myself i had an athena evolution 70cc with yasuni c16 etc... but now im re-swapping it with a rc-one crankcase minarelli ( 2fast 100FL ) and i'm far from the end because i need to stretch the frame mount on the 50f which is not very easy 🙄 anyway i would like you guys to try to make a special mount stretch like the one on the zuma bugeye for the zuma 50f 🤘🏻❤️

Hey, I’ve got the drum brake Prebug. Is there any way I can upgrade to beefier forks and keep my drum brake front wheel? I can machine a brake plate adaptor, but maybe there’s something out there for drum brake Prebugs

With a 70cc kit, pipe, clutch work, and possibly a bigger carb make it easy to wheelie a bug eye 50 2t? I can usually wheelie anything basically (even garbage Harley's, raced MX for 20yrs) but I can only get this stock sucker to wheelie about 30 ft and it likes to tip to the side. I think because of the lack of centripetal force from the small tires at slow speed. Just curious because they are pretty heavy.

I just bought a mint 01 prebug it pulls hard on hills but the top speed is lacking. Can you offer some advise on parts to get. Im not wanting a 100cc cat walker just that little bit more. I got a malossi variator coming also I see alot of differing opinions on if it has a spacer or the spacer must be left in. And advise be great I will order from you if can help me out here

Not the same but I've got a mint tgb that mimics a zuma and I'm gonna soup it up soon. I need to get with you on 2 different 2 strokes I've got soon cause I atleast want new carbs and clutch systems and the cheapest quality 70+ cc kit I can get for my vento and the tgb.

Is the Yamaha Booster the same as the Prebug? Or is it a bit different? That's the most frequent built stunt scooter I've seen on Instagram and such. Also, is the Zummer (Zoomer) just another name for the Ruckus? I always thought Yamaha made them as well

I have the 2005 yw50t. 2 stroke bug eye zuma trying find best unrestricted no rev limit cdi ive upgraded to 72 polini big bore and upgraded the cvt to ncy super transmission kit at first I was getting faster take off and higher top end speed now its slowed back down to 50mph and I keep blowing spark plugs I also want to up grade the gears but don't know where to find the parts I have purchased parts through you on eBay if you could help id be greatful . and also will the NCY rims for the 125 zuma fit my yw50t ?
