A collection of the 10 greatest home run moments the Yankees have had in the 21st Century. I created this version after being bombarded with about 100 comments a day about how awful the music is on the original video. So with this, please shut up and enjoy the greatness.

A Yankee fan since I was 10 (now 68) - born & raised & still living )in NY. I've been to tons of games & have witnessed spectacular moments. Being at the Stadium to watch & feel Tino's homer to tie the game & Derek's walk-off to win it, still ranks as my top all-time fave moments !

I was there at that 3 grand slam game. Let me tell ya, that was the worst possible day to go to a ballgame. All the way to the stadium it was pouring, we get there and sit in the parking lot while we figure out the games been delayed and it continues to pour. We’re wondering why the hell we were there when finally the rain clears up and the game can start. Still crappy weather. Game is underway and the Yankees are getting there asses whooped, 7-2. Really just wondering why the hell we decided to come to this game. Then the sun finally comes out; Robinson Cano had to wait until he got his sunglasses which sent the crowd cheering. Then, bam, run here, run there, grand slam here, grand slam there. Third grand slam comes and there it was, we were at a game where history was made. Final score of 22 or 23 to 9. I’m so glad we decided to go to that game.

Best part at 7:16 watch that Red Sox pitcher on his knees on the mound crying his eyes out like a baby be consoled by another Red Sox player after Aaron Boone absolutely crushed that home run in the ALCS 7 game. Sending the Yankees to the World Series and the Boston Red Sox home packing, freaking Yankee ghost in the out field that game for sure, the curse of the Bambino lives on. Also that close up of Martinez at 7:40 catching all his pain and anguish after Boston swore up and down he was the Yankee killer, yeah right! Yankee stadium really is a magical place to play baseball.
@Splappa09Gaming
@Splappa09Gaming Год назад
That's not a Red Sox pitcher. That's Mariano Rivera. He ran back to the mound after Boone hit the walk off because Rivera had just pitched the last 3 innings to help the Yankees win. He said in an interview that the mound is where he felt at home. That's where he stood when he closed out games. So he ran to the mound where he pitched from to celebrate the emotional win

I have to say from 1996 when they came back against the Braves after losing at home and being down 2-0 to win game 6 at Yankee Stadium to 2003 and Boone hitting the AL Pennant Clincher the Yankees provided Joe Buck with some of the best broadcast moments he will ever have. Hm hm of course it is. First time in baseball history there was a game in November and that was a walkoff homer in the World Series. Oh and also it was the captain, Derek Jeter. Hollywood screenwriters couldn’t write a script as good as that ending in game 4
@jacuzzi8898
@jacuzzi8898 6 лет назад
No doubt, the Brosius HR is the best. The sheer incredibility of tying the game on a 2 out 2 run homer for the second night in a row, the reaction of Brosius and Byung Hung Kim, and yes, even Joe Buck’s call “the Yankees have tied it again.” Hollywood would pick Jeter’s homer, but from an unbiased pure sports fan point of view the Brosius homer packs joy, heartbreak, disbelief, pandemonium all into one of the greats moments in sports history.
