Thanks that was great ,! I enjoy your yoga classes , being a cyclist it helps a lot , I need to purchase some blocks did not ha e them for today’s class
I've been reading that if you have tight quads and weak/loose psoas, you might be doing more harm by stretching the psoas. Is there anything in this video I should avoid if I don't want to hurt the psoas that way?
Yes! First time practicing with you and I will be back. (I've been a regular with Adriene and Five Parks Yoga for a few years.) How I found you : "yin" + "intermediate" + "glutes" and within the results, there were lots of 25-30 minute and 120-125 minute classes. 40 was just right. Good following, cool location shoot = let's do this! Thanks for helping me balance my limber hamstrings with concrete block quads. - New fan in an LA backyard. P.S. Subscribed!
I appreciate that you do a full length of savasana in your videos. Most youtube instructors cut it early, telling the viewers to continue their savasana at home. However my youtube is set to play the next video automatically and it always disturbs my rest by having to quickly pause the video or search for the remote. Thanks for including the FULL practice in your videos.
That hero pose tip (blanket over the back of the knees) is a life saver. It's usually really painful for me to hold that pose for a long period of time. With the blanket it just felt super cosy 🥰
I have cried ( almost lol) yelled out loud in the lizard pose one side until I could hold the foot..... Wooow hurt so good . Love you Kassandra, you are. Life changer, saver - mean it. Love everything about your approach to yin yoga and your beautiful soul..... Blessings
Incredible class. I really enjoyed the reminder at the appropriate time, to be at a 4/5 intensity. It’s easy for body weight to make lizardXquad to make it a 10 instantaneously, but using core to pull back a little (and then relaxing core) really helped. Also I love the sound of Costa Rica in this series. I think you should collect birdsong and layer that as your background music ALL the time!!!! Love, Emily
Just finished this practice and my legs feel so light and I dont't feel discomfort and tightness in my quads anymore. Also my knees aren't cracking when i flex my legs . Thank u so much!
Second time for day4! ;) Never regrets. Done this morning with real birds singing at home mixing with your beautiful background. I am more calm and open now. I am blessed! Thank you! 🙏❤️
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! These poses helped me so much after my 2 hr flight turned into 4+ hours. 4 hours is my absolute limit and breaking point for sitting. Bless you. ❤️
Wow! Thank you so much. I just started doing Barre and after finishing this video I realized I don’t stretch my quads and hips enough afterwards I could live in these poses. Love it. ❤️❤️
Beautiful workout and stretch in a deliberate well paced manner especially for myself as an endurance cyclist whose body is stiff, rigid and rehabbing from a serious back injury nearly a year ago. I am seeking to attain flexibility first while strengthening my core. Further to gain more stability in my lower back around the L-3 so I can sustain long rides of 50-150 miles this summer. LMK if you come up with more cyclist specific yoga sessions, that would be AWESOME!! Thank you Much.
LOVE this class for the thighs, it made me feel so spacious and open afterwards. Kassandra. I love you. You have such amazing classes. By far my favorite online instructor! Thank you so much! You inspire me to teach great classes as well
I'm so glad that I found this! I have been doing your yin classes for some time and am only realizing now how I've neglected my quads. These are very challenging poses! I find it hard to relax into lizard pose in yin style. Any tips there? Thanks!
I really enjoyed this one. The quad stretch felt really good after waking up sore from my leg workout yesterday. The birds in the background helped me feel calm and relaxed. Thank you!
I'm already a big fan of your yin classes but this was awesome. Recently hit the gym and my legs have been ravaged but thanks to this practice, I feel rejuvenated and relaxed. Thank you, Kassandra. Much love from South Africa
Hi kassandra, just want say you are amazing...I first started doing yin with your videos found at random and have since been hooked and that’s been a few weeks already. I use to do this in classes but your videos have helped me tremendously in developing a home practice. Your voice, pacing and background music are what draws me to your channel a\videos and of course all the poses. Thank you for spreading the beautiful practice of yoga with the world. Nameste. Keep up the good work!!
Namaste, thanks so much for this video! You are an excellent teacher. This sequence helped me release a great deal of emotions stored in my legs. It is a great relief ! Love and light from India to you ❣️
Love all your classes Kassandra! Thank You! So glad I found your online channel. I love slower flows. Could you do a class focussing on increasing flexibility in the adductors and opening up the psoas muscles? I always thought it was my quads that were super tight but in actual fact it's my adductors and psoas muscles that are tight and impacting on other areas of my practice. Just a thought! Thanks! xxx
Thank you so much for sharing all of this with us! Yin Yoga has literally saved my body, and I’m so pleased to find a youtube channel that is focused on it.-Namaste
When you are at work and you wanna do this practice right now.... pfft... On the playlist for tonight! Finally got to it... bliss!! I like thinking like a hammock two anchor points (hand-foot bind) then just relax everything in between... added to my weekly playlist.
Thanks for this lovely class, Kassandra! I was deep in my reclined hero pose when my cat snuck up behind me and meowed loudly into my ear. He must have heard the birds!
Preordered your book, looking forward to reading it. I can't do the first posture on my stomach because I get cramp in my hamstring, so I need to do it on my side. Great practice for me though because I do have tight quads and it band, I love my massage but hate it when she does my thighs, ouch! Much love, namaste 🙏 💖 💖 💖 💖
Hi Kassandra, thank you for your videos; I dance and tend to build big muscles very fast (mainly in my quads arms and soulders). I would like to avoid this and was advised to strech regularly. I also considered Yin Yoga for its overall benefits. Would you advise Yin yoga in my case or should I rather start a regular streching class? Thank you very much.
Thanks SO much for this lovely practice, made even more soothing by the beautiful birdsong!Congratulations on your Yin Yoga book...I REALLY hope it's available in Kindle format VERY soon!..
This was AWESOME! I loved the sounds of the jungle in the background, and the balance of quad and hip stretches. So lovely, thank you so much Kassandra!!!
WOW! what a GORGEOUS location! I love your yin yoga classes and now in this setting it is that much more appreciated:-) hopefully we get a few more classes filmed in this beautiful location!
Kassandra, thank you for this class. It's my first yin yoga practice, and I liked it! Thank you for sharing with us. If I could make one suggestion for improvement, I'd say that when you let your viewers know how to use props in various poses, stop saying, "I won't be needing them." It sounds a bit arrogant, and could discourage your viewers who actually do need props not to use them. Other than that, this was a great class. I LOVED the natural tropical soundtrack and back-drop. Well-done!
