Kino, you are a wonder. Just having your voice in my room fills the space with safety, kindness, and encouragement. In my pre-workout and post-relaxation, I imagine your voice as the voice of my own inner strength. It works great for my beginner state since my own voice is already loaded with my body and mind struggles. One day I will speak to my inner self with my own voice and I will summon your lovely soothing voice as an invited friend in my safe space. Much love and peace from Bulgaria.

thank you Kino, you are my by far favorite online yoga teacher. I just love the way you communicate! it might not be for everyone but for me you work! many thanks! this Last couple of weeks i have avoided my mat and practice because there has been outside turmoil that has made me angry and I feel like because of the junk going on I've had a bad attitude towards working my body. even after 30 min today I realize it's so important to keep on going. I just wish hard feelings were not so hard to deal with. even when I try these last 2 weeks my body has just felt heavier to myself.

NAMASTE GURUKINO, Excellent video, I love this one on the core. I have always been a naturally strong person, but these videos is showing me, how much I have been out of shape. You are a great teacher, and I have seen you on periscope, but I have taken myself off periscope. I will continue to practice and also watch your you tube videos.

I love Kino and the fact that she loves what she does. I just find it extremely difficult when she does certain moves/poses without showing a proper form modification. Obviously a beginner cannot do what she does so naturally our bodies will do the wrong thing. I find my back hurting because I can’t get into these moves which is okay but I don’t know how to correctly modify it until I do. Makes me frustrated.

I've been practising yoga for a year but have really been slacking on my core work. This video is exactly what I need to encourage me to strengthen my core--is there a place I can download this so I can play it when I'm not online? I'm heading away on a cottage retreat this coming weekend, and it'd be great to have some of your classes/demos there for inspiration.

My wrists are too weak to even hold a plank right now. I'm working on building that up, they get tired just from downward dog. But I still really loved this

Please could you post a tutorial on the jump forward to standing forward bend in the sun salutations? Struggling with getting hips high enough. It would be incredibly helpful! Thank you for everything you've put out there! X

Hi Kino, this sequence is awesome, thank you! It inspires my practice and its shown me how much more I could achieve, you are a great example of that. I'm just beginning my journey with Ashtanga, doing tiny steps at a time :) Talking about little steps, I am really struggling to keep my legs up and straight. OMG, don't they shake!! I feel that holding my knees is cheating but no matter how hard I try my abs melt and won't allow me to hold my legs up? Do I need to look for lower options or shall I persevere and accept that holding my knees is a good option for me at this moment in time? Many thanks.

That's alright for now. Keep practicing and one day you'll be able to release the hold on your knees :)

I really need to work on my strength and holding my stomach in mindfully during yoga. I think this will really help me. Thank you Kino :) You mentioned at your workshop that you thought I was ready for 1/2 primary and to keep practicing that, can you explain what you meant by 1/2 primary .

So when we are have our backs pretty much all the way to the ground and are repeatedly sitting back up moving the legs toward the torso... I don't know how else to explain that... Navasana...I have an extremely hard time sitting back up, but it does not feel like a strength problem, it feels much more like a lack of balance, my whole body just wants to fall backward. Do you have any tips for developing balance in this position?

At 1minute 42 seconds I can't even get my leg up like that...only to 90 degrees. Maybe in a couple of months? I really feel it more in my legs than core so perhaps I need my legs to get stronger before I can tap into the core like that? I am not in a hurry, I just feel maybe I am doing something wrong.

she says in another video that lifting the feet off the ground took her years. Progress through challenge one step at a time, with no self-judgment. Peace!

Hi Kino! Thank you for this video, loved your strength drill on periscope too. I have few questions about core if you could help me understand? -Why I can lift my full lotus and hold quite comfortably 10 counts but I can't lift at all in L sit? Even 1 foot after the other is soo hard. -in boat pose straightening the legs is really hard (shaking) but I feel nothing in my core...like holding is due to butt balance haha. Last one. -when lowering from boat pose and up there's this clicking "bone" sound though absolutely no pain during or after. Should I worry? Hopefully you'll have time to answer me. Thank you Kino :)

Lotus is easier to lift bc the feet are folded in to the body. L-sit is harder bc the feet are far away from the core. If you don't feel anything in your core in Navasana that's an indication that it's not turned on to the full extent that it should. Keep focusing on engaging the core. I can't really answer the clicking sound question without seeing you in person bc the safety of that depends on good technique and alignment. I'd recommend going to class and asking a yoga teacher in person.

if you did this sroutine or a similar one on your abs workouts every day how long would it take before you notice a difference in the tone and strength in your belly ?

Hi Kino! I can't lift my legs up in L sitting. where do you think I might be going wrong?

The L sit is a very advanced pose in yoga so it is very normal to have difficulty with it at first. It's all about using your core AND your legs TOGETHER while simultaneously using your arms to lift yourself up. Remember to push up with the shoulders and pull your hips back using your core. That's all you need to focus on and the legs will come up automatically if not now, then later as you work on the pose and build up your strength. She has extra videos on the L sit which you can find on RU-vid by typing Kino Yoga L sit or something like that. Remember it is a very advanced pose so don't get discouraged by it. As time goes on, you will get it. Be patient with your Yoga practice and forgive yourself for any mistakes. Keep practising every day. ;-)
