A sample from one of my recent yoga classes, an introduction to the sedative benefits of Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep also known as NSDR No Sleep Deep Rest) - a deeply relaxing guided visual meditation.
Yoga Nidra is now part of my regular live classes schedule in my Yoga for TMS program (mytmsjourney.com/yoga/). If you've never tried it before, it's basically a long meditation, involving visualisation, awareness techniques, embodiment and intention setting affirmation mantras.
I thought it would be a nice idea to share the audio from a recent class to give you a taster of what goes on in Nidra classes. This class is called Nourishing Nidra - Level 0, as there is no sitting, standing or significant movement going on at all.
This class is for fully surrendering the body and mind, for winding down, and taking a deep dive into a dreamlike state, yet still conscious and aware to absorb the healing benefits of the practice, allowing the nervous system to settle gently into full-on rest and repair (if you can stay awake that is!) Ideal for anyone experiencing problems moving, sitting or just wants a fully immersive meditation experience.
Grab your headphones, find a warm and comfortable spot to lie down, prop some pillows under your knees and head and just listen. Perfect to practice before bedtime.

Wow!! After loving your other guided meditations and last week''s first Nourishing Nidra class, I wanted to experience this recording as soon as possible. Well, I just listened to it while doing the dishes (!) and felt/feel so relaxed. Thanks so much for this generous gift, Dani. I'll be returning to this sublime meditation may times, I am sure.

Thanks Debbie! I host 3 live restorative yoga classes a week with meditation after all classes, then once every other week I do a full meditation class on a Thursday. They're all available on the live flat schedule or on demand section of my website mytmsjourney.com/yoga/book-a-class I only release bits now and again on here x
