Yoga Nidra is part of my regular live classes schedule in my Yoga for TMS program for the chronic pain community: mytmsjourney.com/yoga/ - If you've never tried it before, it's basically a long immersive style of meditation, involving visualisation, awareness techniques, embodiment and intention setting affirmation called a 'Sankalpa'.
I thought it would be a nice idea to share this as a taster of what goes on in my Nidra classes. This class is considered a Level 0 class, where there is no sitting, standing or significant movement going on at all, just lie comfortably and enjoy.
This class is for fully surrendering the body and mind, for winding down, and taking a deep dive into a dreamlike state, yet still conscious and aware to absorb the healing benefits of the practice, allowing the nervous system to settle gently into full-on rest and repair (if you can stay awake that is!) Ideal for anyone experiencing problems moving, sitting or just wants a fully immersive meditation experience.
Grab your headphones, find a warm and comfortable spot to lie down, prop some pillows under your knees and head and just listen. Perfect to practice in bed.
