I don't know if you're familiar with squirrel cage fans, but they typically suck from the center and blow out. That fan is a blower. , That's why in the fall you'll get leaves stuck to the fan shroud.
Yeah someone pulled mine off my scooter and left them. Good video man help me now I just need somebody help me with their ass did the shits my scooter. Sorry RU-vid had to.
Couldn't the cooling system become the Riders Heater? Couldn't 1 of those European Snow skirts be installed, and then pipe that air into it kinda like a VW bug motor heats the passenger compartment? Maybe even sew in a little extra sealing ability for the skirt and have a heated Scooter?
I bought a 2015 GoMoto Urban Tribe 150cc GY6 and it came off the showroom with the 170 big bore on but no engine shroud. I only recently found out that they exist and what they do, hence finding this video. Luckily for me is Ive always looked after it and it only now started intermittent smoking on start. The cheap solution I came up with was to cut open the cover behind the front wheel that feeds into the chamber the battery is receded into and plan on making the airflow around the battery more streamlined like a teardrop. In theory that should act as an air ram through the body. Would also need to close off the side stand hole, but I never use it anyway. PS The big bore head is bigger then stock, so the shrouds dont fit on them.
I would never run my scooters without cooling shrouds, especially being in Florida 🌡🛵👍.JD have you ever installed NYC oil coolers. They're pricey & my scooter was basically set up for the radiator. Don't do much while Idling in traffic. Hit 40 mph & it cools down with the quickness. Without a electric fan & definitely don't need one .Great info thanks my friend 👍
@@jdscustombuggies1733 I honestly never saw them with the shrouds or heard of them having them, so this really does explain a lot of the problems I've had 😂😂❤
