The Irish Guy takes a look at every Premier League club's most famous ever footballer, including the likes of David Beckham, Harry Kane and Steven Gerrard. But no Cristiano Ronaldo?
Ritesh Kumar Mishra Why would khabib want to know he’s location the only way he’s going to want to know he’s location is if Krasnodar gets knocked out of UCL by Leicester
Michael M James and Michael work in the same office I believe. James said he has never met Alfie so I assume he lives far away and I believe Aflie actually works from home. Get Alfie on Sykpe and it will be fine.
Sean McMullan No young child, Messi is not the most famous ever footballer. Might be the best but obviously not the most famous. Not many people beyond football know Messi but the entire globe knows who David Beckham is even if you hate football.
@@footballgurus833 you do realise that Beckham had bigger fame in the early 2000s than Ronaldo has right now. And he didn't have Social Media to help him out
With Edgar Davids, you're also forgetting that he was put in Captain Tsubasa, the most popular anime about football that inspired some of the greatest players to ever live (Zidane, Torres, Iniesta, etc.)
Cristiano Ronaldo has everything like Beckham and even more Including success with National team Ballon d'or He could sell Paul Mcshane to Manchester United
@@TheEvapiiShow that logic doesnt make sense. Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed person on social media in the WORLD. He is literally the most famous person in the world. David beckham does have instagram and has about 150 million less followers than ronaldo.... stop kidding yourself
@@SH-iw4xr you do realise that most of the people who were around when the Beckham hype was at its max, are around 50 now. I wanna see your granddad using Instagram. Beckham > Ronaldo. + his wife is famous aswell
I knew who David Beckham was before I knew how many points a goal gets you in soccer. Literally, all I knew about soccer was you couldn't use your hands but I knew Beckham's name. I also knew Henry but that's probably because I'm Haitian (also the reason I knew Ronaldo in 1998, Haitians love Brazil). Rooney was the first player I knew when I got a mild interest in the sport. I knew Ronaldinho and Kaka before I knew club football existed (still thought Chicago could win the World Cup.) So there's no way in hell Vardy is more famous than Kante. When the average American thinks World Cup players do nothing for 4 years until the next tournament.
P.S. I'm 30. My first favorite club was Bayern Munich because FIFA 14 said they were the best (actually Dortmund because I love an underdog). I learned every single sport I know from video games.
Balotelli was also mentioned in a Drake song. For Bale you could mention Wales reaching the Euro 2016 semi's and for Vardy his wife got pretty famous doing TV work and the infamous Coleen Rooney instagram scandal
Im sorry but hazard is one of the most famous people on earth. Even people who dont know football recognise his name. Drogba never reached the same level.
Brighton: Would say Dave Beasant was more famous, Wayne Bridge? Steve Claridge (one for lower league fans)? Jimmy Case? Mark Lawrenson? Frank Stapleton (missed an irish shoutout) Edit: Oh forgot Paul McShane (just from your videos)
Balotelli's a fair shout for City, but i'd also consider Joe Hart (shampoo salesman etc.), Aguero (because of THAT goal), Sterling (the media attention), Tevez (the same), or even David Seaman, at least in the UK.
When I was seven, the only stuff I knew about football were Manchester United and David Beckham. And then, our village team played with Man U in the Champions League qualifiers and beat them :D And I thought our village team is probably the best on Earth :D
Just a quick shout-out for Everton, my patriotism requires me to do this Timmy Cahill, very well known name world wide, played in many countries, just not known outside of the English speaking ones plus a couple in Aisa, the answer is defo Wazza Rooney, but I still need to give ol' Timmy a shout
Surprised zlatan didn’t at least get mentioned whilst talking about United. Obviously he’s probably not as famous as Ronaldo or Beckham but I thought he might at least have been brought up.
Robbie Keane played for clubs in SIX FIFA recognised countries (including England and Scotland separately)... you forgot Inter, SEVEN if you want to include his junior football at Crumlin United.
Two other choices Newcastle should have been Patrick Kliuvert. Barcelona cup winner and played in World Cups. Lecesiter City would say Estaban Cambiasso. Much more well known in Italy, Argentina and lots of caps.
Chelsea: you could of said -Gullit -Zola -De Bruyne (maybe in the next few seasons) -Essien -Robben -Damien Duff (that’s a joke) -Peter Osgood -Cesc Fabregas - fernando Torres This is coming from a chelsea fan not reallly sure how famous they are outside of chelsea so it probably is drogba from an outsiders POV but oh well
He's so good they signed him up before he was born. Clubs all over League 2 were trying to sign him. Lingardinho was born talented. World class teenager 0 pl goals same as Phil Maldini Jones
Arsenal - Ted Drake Chelsea - Gianfranco Zola Everton - Dixie Dean Southampton - Matt Le Tissler Leceister - Emile Heskey Wolves - Ruben Neves Nottingham Forest - Peter Shilton and Liverpool - Jurgen Klopp
Tottenham possibly could've gone with Paul Gascoigne and Bobby More was more recognisable than Tevez, won the world cup as England Captain, the head to heads with Pele who said he was the greatest defender he ever faced.
I agree with Beckham over Ronaldo as I was born in 2001 I didn't see David play but when I heard the name Ronaldo I thought of one of the greatest footballers ever and I didn't even know he had played for man utd. But when I heard David Beckham I knew who it was even though I had never watched him play even though he was 35 years old I knew who exactly he was.
