It's not even a meme anymore, it's downright depressing Also indeed, youtube shorts does cultivate a worse culture which most zoomers are etiher unaware or downright downplaying the side effects, I thought Gen Z are supposed to be better and toughter than Millennials, Gen X and even boomers, yet tiktok formats are turning Gen Z into a spineless generation which somehow even worse than Millennials at bullying fellow modern techno-peasants, while bowing so hard to authorities from both State and Multi-billion megacorporations

Not being able to dislike comments or videos is something that annoys me to this day.

i think the main problem is the monopoly that youtube is. they can screw everyone how ever they want, since they know there is no place to go if you want to make money out of your content. i want to support my favourite creators, but ain’t no way i’m paying the root of all the problems even $1 a month

Honestly, love the idea of cutting YT music in favor of a cheaper subscription. It would get me to pay for it. Maybe the music could be an add-on for the 8 people that want it.

I actually use youtube music 😅 you can put videos in audio form only so that means you can make pretty unique playlists

It’s not really about the money anymore. Don’t think it’s only about advertisers, because a lot of policy changes have nothing to do with advertising. It’s more about censorship and narrative control since RU-vid is the biggest video platform and a lot of groups of interests (including government which is def involved with RU-vid judging by twitter leaks) are working closely with google.
