Great review. Really appreciate that you tested the wheels on a trail bike. Gotta love those Utah Fall colors!

First of all, what an awesome trail, secondly, Great review. I switched from the Reserve 27 to the new Reserve 28XC wheels, although lighter, they are a much harsher ride than the 27s I once had. I'd be very curious to try these out. I'm riding a 2024 SC Blur TR setup with Fox Suspension and am looking for just a little more give on the bike without increasing the travel.

I have the zipper moto 3. Its a superb front enduro rim. Put it on a Chris king hub. Only lasted about 5 rides on the back though before needing to warranty, so recently swapped out for the reserve allot HD. Forget the tyre pressure sensors. They are a gimic.

I like tyrewiz actually. It offers peace of mind and now I don’t need to have a pressure gauge

Nicely done video! Any chance you have an update on these? On a side note, I recently discovered your channel, you’ve got some good content!

Hey thanks. Not sure what you mean by an update?

@@bikersedge at end/summary you mentioned that you recently got them so you don’t have a ton of time on them but you’re going to continue to use them. I was curious how they were holding up since then. Around 7:49, you mention you’ll hopefully be doing a bigger longer video comparing them against some other wheels. I was mostly curious how they compared against the Roval SL and if the TyreWiz 2.0 were useful. I pretty much check my tire pressure before any ride on a new day but I could see the TyreWiz being handy during rides or other random times. No worries if not, just figured I would ask and I know the trails have been covered in snow too for some of us.

@@kdiff-1 ah gotcha. I rode them for another week or two after this video. Nothing really changed in that time. Tire wiz is a cool little tech feature but not a necessity to me. I would still buy the wheels without them if that helps. I don’t have any experience with the Roval wheels. So I’m unfortunately not much help there.

So... Are the pressures you used as recommended by tire whiz? Do they make real time recommendations or just weight based? Also, how much do😮you weigh?
@bikersedge
@bikersedge 9 месяцев назад
I used the TyreWiz recommendations to start. I ended up with a little more pressure than they recommended based on my preference. The recommendations are based on weight, riding style, tire size, casing, bike weight and a few other factors. I weigh almost 200lb these days.

Did you experience any flex at the hub? I.e. rotors rubbing brake pads under hard pedaling or cornering.
@bikersedge
@bikersedge 7 месяцев назад
There’s defensively some flex. They’re not the stiffest wheels I’ve ridden laterally or vertically. They ride pretty nicely because of it though. I never had them flex enough to cause problems. Certainly not as flexy as the 3zero motos

Would these be better than moto's for a 235 pound rider? I've never had carbon wheels, but thinking about them.
@bikersedge
@bikersedge 9 месяцев назад
The motos are designed for all mountain and enduro riding. These are for bikes less than 130mm. There’s a 283lb system weight limit on these wheels too.

How do these compare to the Industry 9 Trail S Carbon wheels??
@bikersedge
@bikersedge 8 месяцев назад
I don't have any experience on the Trail S. I have a set of Enduro S on my big bike. Tough to compare the two as they're so different.
