Zoo Med's ReptiCare® Terrarium Timer (LT-11) is an easy-to-use 24 hour timer that helps you manage the day and night cycle of your pet's habitat! -ReptiCare® Terrarium Timer (LT-11) zoomed.com/repticare-terrariu...
The instructions that come with it aren't very well defined . This video was so helpful. I had actually gotten the timer set wrong twice until I saw how it is set in the video. Thank you so much for creating the video. I use it to control the light on my hermit crab tank
Hi there. The light on the Terrarium Timer turns on if the outlet on the Timer is receiving power, regardless of which setting it is currently set to ("Timer" or "ON"). If the switch is set to the option "Timer", that means the outlet/light will only be powered during your Timer's set times. Hope that clears things up.
Thanks for this video, very helpful. It took me some time to figure out that I have to pull up the tabs representing the off time (night time) leaving the day time tabs down. There is not pushing down tabs in my timer unless I pull them up first!
For real, ur comment saved me bc my tabs were all pushed down and I didn't want to break this plastic dial guy by trying to force it up or down but I couldn't figure out how to work it. So thank you for your info, really saved me accidentally breaking this.
i guess this is how it works: press down the black tabs on the side from, lets say 7am in the morning to 8pm in the evening, on the timer. Then turn the disk so that the arrow points at your local time. plug it in the wall. plug in your lamp cord in the front and set it on timer (located on the side) hope im right, and i hope it helped somebody :-D my english is not so good, im 13 and live in Denmark soooo yeah.
I just bought the Night/Day timer and I JUST CANT get it set up correctly.... can you upload a video with e two plug timer? My Day light is just staying on..... and my extra heat red light bulb is not...
(Stupid question here...) How long will this timer work before it has to be reprogrammed? I am going on vacation for two weeks. Although I have someone stopping by to check on my corn snake every day, they will not be able to do so twice a day. If this particular product won't meet my needs, is there a product that will?
The Terrarium Timer will turn on or off instantly once the timer reaches its set times. However, if the device that is plugged into the Timer needs a warm up period, the Timer's settings should be adjusted to accommodate for this.
I bought the LT-12 and the instructions have no information on how to set the PM light time. I have the AM and time of day part right. How do I program the night light to come on and the day light off? Is there a specific outlet on the timer side of the plug the night light goes into? Please advise. Thanks.
Hi there! The ReptiCare Terrarium Controller ( links.zoomed.com/lt-12 ) controls when the sockets have power during your day and night hours, but does not have alternating power (ie: one outlet has power during day hours, while one has power during night). It sounds like you're looking for something more like our ReptiCare Day & Night Timer ( links.zoomed.com/lt-10 ). Hope that clears things up, take care. :)
That isn't one our products, so I can't say for sure how it functions. Our ReptiCare Timer however requires all the tabs pushed down between those times to be operational during those hours. Re-watch this video for more info.
As long as the timer is plugged in and receiving power, you shouldn't have to reset the timer, it'll keep operating at your programmed times. Hope that helps.
How do I know the timer is working I can't hear any clock work inside the dial part? Do I just trust it is rotating at a 24 hours increment? Will the dial actually rotate and keep showing the correct time?
Thanks!! I figured it out easily with this video, the instructions were so unclear..... My first timer was faulty so I had to buy another one... But the second works perfectly fine! I have two now though haha
As long as the ReptiCare Timer has power, it will not reset and will operate the plugged in devices according to the setting you've set. Hope that answers your question. Take care.
Just in case it doesnt work are there any non heat producing day and night cycle lights that are compatible with this? ( im thinking about getting new pet and i just wanna be sure…sorry for all of the questions)
It should work fine, but for not being one of our products, I'm not familiar enough to speak for certain of its reliability. However, if you're looking for a Zoo Med LED Lighting solution, I would suggest checking out our website here: zoomed.com/?s=LED Specifically this one seems closest to the item you are referring to: zoomed.com/terraeffects-nano-led-with-sound/ Hope that helps. :)
So I have the big one does the big one switch the day and night lights on and off automatically? And which outlet is the day and which is night? If my question makes sense lol
+raccoonlover7 The Terrarium Controller (the one I believe you are describing) sadly doesn't have that feature. I believe you're thinking of our Day & Night Timer: links.zoomed.com/lt-10 Hope that helps. :)
The Terrarium Controller operates similarly to the Terrarium Timer. Check out the above video, and it should be able to help you set it up. Check out the included instructions for more info: links.zoomed.com/lt-12 Hope that helps. Take care.
I bought the 8 outlet timer and I can't figure out how to set up the night time light. I've set up my daytime plug ins and they're all turned on but if I turn my night light on it also turns on which i don't want obviously
What is the difference between this timer and aquasun timer. Actually aquasun timers are not available in India, so I am planning to buy this timer and use it on my aquarium, is it okay if I do so??
I'm confused on something. Why does the light side end with 12 pm and the dark slide end with 12 am? Wouldn't that mean that the time following 12 would also be pm or am respectively? On the same point, according to your video, why are the am hours the black side and the pm hours the light side? It would make much more sense the other way around.
Hi there. Only our ReptiCare Day & Night Timer has alternating power for Day & Night lighting. Our 8-socket ReptiCare Terrarium doesn't have an alternating timer. 4 of the sockets have constant power, while the other 4 are on one timer. Hope that helps. For more info, try contacting our Customer Service: 1-888-496-6633 Take care.
Are all the tabs between 7am and 8pm pressed in; not just the ones at 7 and 8? While on 'Timer' Mode, the Timer's socket will only gain power during times where the tabs are pressed. While on 'ON' mode, the socket will gain constant power. If the Timer doesn't seem to be working according to the video, try contacting our Customer Service and explain to them the issue. They can be reached at: 1-888-496-6633 Hope that helps.
One of our ReptiCare Terrarium Timers would work perfectly for setting up a proper day/night cycle. See this video for more details: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d8-Lhzuxxlw.html
I bought an exo terra timer. It says to push down the segments for required on time. I turned down what I want on for my ball python (7am-7pm) and as soon as I plug in my light even if all the segments are up the light goes on. Wth. And no it is not set to the switch where it stays on all the time. So frustrated right now
+Miguel Ángel Valderrama Without power, the timer will stop at the time that the power went out. You will have to adjust the timer to the correct time once power is re-established.
It can, but it may be easier to simply set the Hygrotherm to a static source, while whatever electronics that require a timer are set to the Terrarium Timer. Contact our Customer Service for more info: 1-888-496-6633 or by email at: zoomed@zoomed.com
Hmm, is the Red Power Indicator Light on? Does the device work when plugged straight into the outlet? If you're using the ReptiCare Controller, is the reset button switched to 'ON'? If none of those suggestions work, please reach out to our Customer Service and they should be able to help in more detail. They can be reached at: 1-888-496-6633 or by email at: zoomed@zoomed.com Hope that helps.
1 tab is no where near 15 minutes. it's about 10 minutes. but I think it's not exactly precise. I have the reptifogger going on every other hour with 1 tab .
I can't say for sure as I don't know which product you are referring to. However, you may want to look into our Repticare Day & Night Timer. That might be what you're looking for. See our Website for more info: zoomed.com
Sans the Day/Night Timer, you could set the timers to 'Timer mode' and then just not press any of the tabs in. Or you could simply unplug it, but then you'd have to reset the timer once you plug it back in. Does that answer your question?
All electronic Zoo Med products are made for a variety of regions and electrical standards. As long as you are purchasing from your region, you should be getting the appropriate version. Hope that helps. :)

I can't for the life of me get this to work. I have the tabs pushed down for 7 am (black region) and 8 pm *white region) and I moved the dial to the current time, which is 7:30 pm... so, the light should be on, but it isn't. When I move the button to the on position, the red light comes on and the light is on. What am I doing wrong!? I even tried setting the current time PAST 8 pm to see if it came on, but it didn't. =/
ok well i just plugged mine in and there's no orange light the orange light only comes on when I switch the switch to on and this is the 2nd one I have purchased the other would come on correctly then for about 2 days then be almost a hour late turning off then I have to sit down and reset it all over again

Ok so I think I got the wrong one I got the repticare terrarium controller I wanted to get one for day and night timer so during the day the daylight comes on and at night the nightlight comes on
Hi, Caitlin. We have plans to eventually release an instructional video on our Day/Night Timer, but until then, 2 possible reasons for the Day timer staying on and the Night staying off are: 1) The tabs on the side of the timer haven't been pressed (see this video for an example) or 2) The red bypass switch on the side is switched to 'ON' instead of Timer. Contact our Customer Service if you continue to have problems: 1-888-496-6633 Hope that helps. Take care.
