First part of a tribute for one of the most strong man on Earth! Subscribe for part 2! I take no credits for the images or the songs used. Thanks for Rogue Fitness and Two Steps from Hell!
Brian never been known for his pressing ability. But it is without a denial that Big Z also had a great lobgevity in his strength endurance beside from his crazy shoulder strength. I still cannot imagine he broke his log press WR multiple times untill he forgot about it sometimes 🤣. You can see that on his YT channel vid where he did a live Q&A YT
Provocunt ! True but he’s one of the best and most respected ever. The sheer power and control he had will never be displayed for a while I think. Dude was a fckin beast.
Big Z is an absolute legend! Some of his records may have been beaten but he has accomplished more than most men in strongman sport ever will, and he did it with honor! Not cheating or whining when things didn't go his way.
Wait!! 4:27 is that Shivlikov (sorry spelling) getting Zydrunas pumped for the lift?!?!? If so that is so fucking awesome and shows just how special so many of the WSM athletes are that they. Actually being encouraging to your competition is fucking beautiful man. Him running with the truck pull is so fucking legendary. Big Z is also proof that personality can shine through even without showing any for some reason. I have never seen Savickas speak much, I have heard other strongmen mention that he rarely says anything. He is beloved regardless.
Antonio Centeno Factz Big Z was mailing everyone and the fact he stayed around for so long. Dude has so many records and wins under his belt. Probably the most decorated strongman
Bear in mind mariusz handed big z his ass more than a few times as well. Mariusz is no 1. Big z number 2. Brian shaw number 3. Pity poundstone had injuries.
@@xtremerboss6938 then what else ? Wsm is a strong man competition where they competed . The strong man ultimate series mariusz beat big z as well. What else counts facts are mariusz is one bigz 2 brian shaw 3 . BIG Z being number 2 is no mean feat.
The man who got me into Lifting. Was a fan of him as a little kiddo when i 1st saw Strongest Man. Yes, i respect all of them making the End Tournaments, (Brian Shaw, Eddie Hall, Bjornsson,) but Big Z is just 1 Atlas Ball further than them ;-)
Its a shame that he couldnt get that 5th title, but the fact that he got his 4th in the peak era of Briant,Thor and Eddie, which was a much heavier era and they (in my opinion) were stronger opponents than the previous generation, and he was a consistent contender in both eras, shows that Z is one of a kind strongmen, long term more dominant that Mariusz .
Does anyone remember the "big z Heart Of a Champion part 3" the second song in this video sounds a lot like it. I think the video was deleted from RU-vid. In the Heart of a Champion part 3 the song I'm referring to starts at 2:18
Proud to be Lithuanian!!!! I even met twice Žydrūnas personally and shaked his powerfull palm !!!! White caucasian with Baltik(Lithuania, Latvia, old Lithuanian Kingdom lands) tribes genes are the most powerfull people in the World.
I don’t understand why Mariusz quit strongman at such a young age. I know he left for MMA, but damn he could potentially have WSM titles in double figures. That said, the legend big Z is my favourite
He went out undefeated basically, but sticking around a couple of years would mean he would go out beaten. Plus health probably is a constant concern with strongman.
SwedishHouseFifa no it was because IFSA existed and paid better, so all of the good strongmen other than Marisuz went to compete in that. Eventually, IFSA ran out of money and collapsed, so everyone returned to WSM.
He got tired of getting second place. He decided to compete in a rival competition, get training for a few years, and come back stronger. It worked, he got himself 4 titles and another 3 runners up in his mid to late 30's
I really like the video, but here is some constructive criticism: the 1117 lb deadlift should be before the 1155 lb deadlift, because there's a more logical and exciting build up, instead of a reduction in hype. Secondly, the music piques right before or during the lift, and then very quickly dies off to gentler music or no music at all. I think this is a mistake, because the lift itself and the success following the lift are the most epic parts of the lift, and need an exciting climax in the music to accompany them.
Nick Kraw You're correct. This video ended up being so ugly but I posted anyway... If you want to see a state of the art video, watch Mariusz's tributes ;)
