If I'm not mistaken, someone at Sonic Team said that branching paths were never supposed to be part of SA2, but I can't remember a scource to back me up though
5:35 Those "ancient advanced civilization" statues are not robots. Those are statues based explicitly on ancient Japanese clay figure artifacts. The small ones are called "haniwa", which were terracotta figures placed on funeral mounds in 300-500AD Japan. The big one is a "dogū", figures of which originate from roughly 4000-400BC of prehistoric Japan. You may also recognize it as "Arahabaki" from the SMT/Persona games.
This is raising my faith on sega remastering Sonic Unleased. Also the first Sonic game I played was Sonic 2006 when I was like 5 years old and I can with no fear to be wrong that it was 3 times more fun to play than Sonic Forces this game was the second modern Sonic I ever played and played by years until I got all its trophies and saw this and said his right. This game caused by far the most damage to boost game first impressions.
I mean. Unleashed is good. Random? No. You mentioned sonic games with no cuts. Specifically bad ones, yet you included unleashed, which, imo, is great.
I’m already tired of seeing Sonic fans saying shit like “Will Sonic x Shadow Generations be another Sonic Forces?” Or “Sonic X Shadow Generations is another Sonic Forces?” Like dude, it’s a freaking remake of a Sonic game from 11 years ago and people are comparing it to a Sonic game that gave more PTSD than 06 like stop comparing Sonic X Shadow Generations to Sonic Forces
To be honest i like forces. I understand that its lacking though. But it has some decent levels like null space, mortar canyon and even the final boss. At leasy in my opinion. I really dont care if the game is not objectively good. I still enjoy it for what it is. Thats why its one of my favorite sonic games.
I feels like shadows generations blows forces level design out of the park, but the physics do feels a bit similar and heavy although 3d sonic is always heavy 🙁
Have you heard that lizuka said he removed the sonic 1 game skill from generations,I'm sad about it but hey,it was removed in the original PC version of sonic generations 🤷
Well the whole self boost was fun in unleashed when it was first introduced but I will say forces did mess it up on the short level, maybe if we was unleashed/06 level maps we might have a chance
idk why people are talking so much about the straight lines. i dont mind the straight lines, i mind the horrible physics, the horrible jump balls and the horrible boost that doesnt make you feel as fast as it used to😭😭
Me and my little bro got SOAP shoes because of this game. They were SO fucking fun to use in big cities with a lot of handrails. We literally grinded some shit out of SA2 that was in Mexico City, This Crazy Spiraling Handrail going down a parking garage of some art museum. We were grinding for more than whole minute on this massive curved rail.
7:46 Incorrect, its only in the simon wai and august 21 prototypes. Although they are exactly the same. Also at 8:23 , you put dust hill and not sand shower. Dust hill was mystic cave before being changed to.. mystic cave. It was the ruined version of green/emerald hill, hence the name.

All i can say is im glad i have the GC version of this and Heroes with playable Super forms that i made so i can plsy it upscaled on my wii. I also have a hidden Metal Sonic cheat for Sonic Adventure DX that makes him playable in the hub world.
@@shaulov10 Not sure if you're following me. There is a prerelease build of SA2 that has Super Shadow's texture appear shiny white. I think it was discovered in the last year or two. I saw it on Twitter. There have even been mods to restore it in SA2 and people are even doing it in other games like the Sonic Frontiers Shadow mod.
The only thing I don't like about this new game is how the boost aura looks. I much prefer the aura in generations. The forces one just looks so lazy and low effort. Idk if it's just me..
