I like to explore Japan and the environment around me and make videos. In this channel we explore all things Japan with likeminded people. I've been helping people stay informed regarding tourism in Japan and continue to give Japan tourism tips and any related videos! I hope to continue to keep you updated!

hii i know ur not the japanese government but i’m going to japan in a month with my family and i have spironolactone pills i didn’t see them on any list should i still email and ask if i’m allowed to bring them or do u think i’m okay 😭😭
Normally prescription for under a month in the original box is fine but When it comes to medication I can only direct you to the official information www.mhlw.go.jp/english/policy/health-medical/pharmaceuticals/01.html if in doubt always e-mail
Thank you so much for video. I've been three times in Japan: 1. Golden Triangle with Hiroshima 2. Tokyo (travel South Korea + Japan) 3. Fukuoka-Kumamoto-Nagasaki and I planned to go back this year to go North So your video will help a lot Thanks
ww! ... the traditional nickname for Himeji Castle is 白い鷺 ... " shiroi-sagi " ... (white heron) ... but after the walls were cleaned people began to call it 白いつぎ ... " shiroi-tsugi " ... (too white) (^_^)
@@NinjaMonkeyguy Hikone Castle is smaller but more interesting and beautiful I think. Anyway, in the end, I really think the Meiji Era government should have just demolished all of these old buildings to create a new Japan.
Finally getting thru my backlog of your live vids since coming back from Japan last April and yes I agree that Hida beef is amazing especially the Hida beef sushi.
For 「kid-friendly」、if they can speak Japanese, then the Kanji Museum in Kyoto will be really fun, ... if not, then the Kyoto Train Museum. Miraikan in Tokyo Odaiba will also be fun I think. This will be a day trip from Tokyo, but I think going to Chiba City and taking the monorail to Chiba Zoo will be fun. The animals here seem happier than in Ueno. Also, Chiba Park has zero foreign tourists ...
Did the reverse golden route last April (Kyoto, Osaka, Himeji, Hiroshima, Shirakawa, Takayama, Fuji, Tokyo) and will be going by regions on my next trips starting with Kyushu hopefully by Autumn then Chugoku by Summer and so fort. Thanks for this idea on Tohoku since I was having a hard time planning for this particular region.
It took a lot of planning on my part to find a route that was accesable by train and worth visiting! I think I finally found it! Your trips sound great, I have some Older videos on those areas too !
Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't bought my plane ticket yet, but my overall plan for a year has been to explore the regions between Hokkaido and Tokyo, so it's good to know what there is to see in those areas. Are all the buses in those areas switched to using the Suica card, or did you have to pay cash in a number of them? What about taxis, if you accidentally miss the last bus, do they use Suica too? Last time I traveled to Japan (2019), which focused on Kyushu, I was still using cash everywhere (buses, lockers), I hadn't gotten into using the Suica card then.
Most of these suggestions are actually good sized towns or cities with good infrastructure, infact many will have a day pass that might be a good alternative if you find they don't take suica and want to get around cashless
@@NinjaMonkeyguy Nice, yeah, I usually look for a tourist office in some of these places, where they usually have those passes. Nagano had one that included train and bus, and I think the monkey park entrance; and Beppu had one for the bus and monkey park/aquarium.
I’m on a trip through tohoku now and over the last 2 days at Akita, i’ve seen almost no international tourists. Just amazing At the same time because of less tourism in the area, the locals are not so used to international tourists so prepare yourself with some basic japanese phrases and google translate

No different than heading anywhere else away from Tokyo or Kyoto. Language can be a barrier across the whole of Japan but the people are patient and helpful
The story of the Byakkotai Samurai students at Aizu-Wakamatsu is heartbreaking, and visiting the site is worth a trip to that city for that history (and view across the city) alone. We were lucky enough to catch a full re-enactment display just as it was starting at the top of the stairs (at 1:12 in your video) with a cast dressed in full Samurai costume when we visited.
I need this trip in my life 💯🤩 I think it's perfect for me because I've been down, I've been right up but not in-between , never these places! Love it , the video that was recommended to me at the end was The reason to visit Japan in Summer
The castle in Aizu-Wakamatsu was really trashed during the Boshin War so I'm not sure how much is original. The forest in Aomori is especially beautiful with buna and hiba trees but there is always the possibility of bear attacks.
There is nothing like a great festival to see the culture of the country you are visiting. It looks amazing! Thanks for your fantastic knowledge of Japan ❤
Although I really am anti hot weather, your video's highlighting the Akita Kanto Festival could maybe convince me to brave Tohoku in August. I'm a huge lantern festival fan, and damn it all the other places in this video have their own charms. You just keep proving you can never get enough of Japan.
@@NinjaMonkeyguy ww! ... whenever I attend Noh play performances, it's fun to watch some of the audience fall asleep (^_^) ... anyway, I would say Mitsuwadai, Chiba Prefecture is pretty boring ...
But now that you posted it.... lol. Our first time in japan was noboribetsu and sapporo and our regreat was not staying there longer. Osaka mainstreet was a no and we skipped kyoto (did nara instead) and tokyo as we were remined why we moved out of major cities such as nyc and miami. Its way too much people, sounds and jumbo lights. Well use this for our summer trip next year and enjoy the north fully. Would love some tea farm recommend
I may have to check some of these locations next time I go. The festivals look really fun. But I was wondering, could you make a video with tips for renting a car in Japan?
I finally "completed" my own "mixed itinerary" making a "triangle" between Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka (since I really wanted to include at least a week in Kyushu and a night in a nice ferry), I have left Kyoto and Nara only for optional "one day short trips" (from Osaka and also in Tokyo I plan to see some "less tourist" zones and "hop" to other places, again by short "one day" trips... let's hope it will work....😁
Looks good! - Once I get my next trip in July done and dusted I'll be thinking ahead to next year (probably going for a month) and tempted to explore this region.
After seeing this in relation to your Japan in summer video, I think you are spot on with these suggestions and itinerary. Definitely on a future list. Thank you
I did this itinerary (that i put together after a lot of research myself) in the summer but I'd be tempted to try it again in spring or Autumn in the future
hey, nathan. question. i will be arriving 4.45 pm at haneda airport 15th july. so i think i will be done with everything including withdraw cash and buy suica card around 6pm. should i wait until rush hour is finished around 7.30 pm to take a train or should i just take a taxi to avoid the crowd? i dont want to take a bus. what do you recommend? i dont mind paying more for taxi if its a much better option. how crowded is it from haneda airport to asakusa? i am one person with 1 large luggage
Hey check this out; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4v5RUZk6Adc.htmlsi=zhhIoLd0xxltDccE&t=377 if you're getting the Keikyu line its direct and the fact you're getting it from the airport means it might only get bussier as you get nearer but you'll be fine. try to get a limited express if you can :) hope that helps
