I agree with most of the video but Sansa is never going to be safe after Jaime's death. Cersei's entire life-long paranoia has been based around her prophecy from Maggie the Frog, specifically the line "Until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear." She is absolutely going to hold Sansa responsible for Jaime's death (taking what she holds dear) and I think she'd find a way to kill her, consequences be damned.
Who does Shireen marry? Even out of the line of succession, she's still a royal princess. And Shireen is the second most important thing in Stannis's life, after the Crown. Her greyscale puts her at a disadvantage, since favor or no, houses aren't going to risk infecting their sons. Dragonstone is likely her dowry. Stannis wouldn't want a non-Baratheon in charge of his ancestral seat, but a Crown castle is up for grabs. If Bran is still around, he would make the best choice since he's not expected to have kids anyway. So the Broken Lord and the Stone Princess become the Dragonstone Couple. Other choices the right age are Rickon, Robin, or Trystan (though I don't think Doran would go for putting his heir at risk). On a creepier side Theon and Loras are unmarried. Ignoring the ick, Loras would be the better choice, assuming Stannis didn't burn him. He would stay at court with Renly and everyone could pretend it's above board. No one would question the lack of children assuming greyscale caused sterility. Alternatively Stannis might try to make her a priestess of the Lord of Light or some equivalent of a sept.
Just because Ser Allister Thorne and Ser Arthur Dayne are both Targaryan loyalists doesn't mean Dayne would let him in on why he was there. Just another loyalist captured in a war that they lost
How do the starks win? Rob just honours his deal with walder, end of the show. So much wrong with the stannis analysis, he had a shadow baby kill his brother for not backing his claim, he'd do the same to robb. Dany? Starks will do what they did before 'it's dragons we bowed to'. Robb will be king in the north until dany shows uo and he bends the knee.
I think Neds biggest problem was that he genuinely had no idea about the den of snakes he was walking into. If he had been prepared for it...well, he probably wouldnt have taken the post, but he probably would have done a better job.
Pretty sure Brans powers were limited to flying around in crows and watching his sisters..uhh intimate moments. Not sure how useful those are to the war effort, maybe he can shame some of Danys bedroom kinks?
Walder Frey just wanted to be on the winning side. With Jamie already dead and Rob winning I think Walder would of been delighted to have the wedding there and then. The red wedding was a ways down the road and Rob and the Northerners were in a much weaker position by that stage making the betrayal much more appealing for Walder.
Another thing to take into account is the height of opponents. People under maybe 6 feet would have a real problem hitting the mountain in the neck or through the eye slits, unless he is looking down at them (probably not a good place to be). On the other hand, anyone fighting in the time of plate armor would rarely not carry a sword as their main weapon. Halberds, and the like should be standard, or at least available to any professional warrior.
As for hotd, criston cole would be a good fight, but daemon probably loses. Criston is a very unlikeable character but he's underrated as a fighter. With what's written of him, he is as renowned as Jaime during his time period and noone would duel him to the death just like jaime
If we're talking about the show Araya or jaqen hagar and The knight king could probably all do it. And Lady Mormont because she's the biggest boss of all.
Y'all have this fun thing you do where you insult your audience out of participating in a discussion and then encourage them to let you know their opinions in the comments lol
In the books ain't it the case the reasons the boltons followed through with the betrayal was because of the marriage pact, like Roose married fat walder one for money and two the boltons would technically join the royal family of the Starks. I recon the boltons would devise a slow plan to become the royal family eventually but during the war of the five kings they would of stayed loyal. Roose is a patient man
If he can get access to the faceless men he might also be able to get access to anti dragon equipments from the andalos. Just a thought or even dorne cos they have a history of successfully fighting dragons
The white walkers can't get past without brans mark. The mark broke the magic of the cave and probably did the same to the wall. That being said, if the night king somehow marks bran they can definitely get through even without wight viserion. They had numerous giants and mammoths whom could break any of the gates on the castles of the wall and unlike the giant that attacks in the watchers on the wall episode, these giants and mammoths are wights and so are much harder to kill. I strongly believe the only reason the night king waited until he had viserion is because he's a greenseer and could see the future. That's why they waited at the exact place they trapped jon and killed viserion and that's how the night king saw bran when he was looking at his army. So if catelyn could keep bran from becoming a tree, they're fine, if she can't they're screwed.
Hard disagree on the freys again. Robb was an expert at field battles. Sieging a well fortified and strong castle he never did, and never even attempted when tywin was at harrenhal. And in the case of the twins no chances can be taken because if he loses too many men taking the twins even beating jaimes army might be impossible, and if he takes too much time, it's possible tywin could reinforce jaime and then there's no beating the lannister army. And this is all assuming the twins can be successfully taken in the first place, the freys had a decent sized army and are defending one of the strongest castles in westeros. So any scenario where robb has to attack the twins is a terrible scenario, unless we also completely alter tully war strategy as well and have edmure pull north and attack the twins from the other side as well, but that's something the starks have no control over.
I will be honest, after the treatment Sunfyre got in this season I had a need to punch Ryan Condal in the face. But I will wait for season 3 to know, if he really is so biased or if he setting up something.
I like how Olenna tells Margaery how good she was back in the day but Margaery is even better. Because I don’t think that’s true but she’s trying tog ice her more confidence. Part of the game 🙂↔️
If we rank from when the show actually counted, 1-4, then it’s Tywin, Varys, Littlefinger, Roose Bolton, Olenna Tyrell and Margaery together….and I actually said this before watching this video so respect to the creator for giving he props!
The Lannisters did not have Arya (to their knowledge), but the Northerners did not know that. That would make Sansa a bit more expendable (from the Lannisters' point of view - from the Starks' point of view, sorry for the confusion), so the Starks still need to be a bit more careful. And if we go by the series, Littlefinger might now choose to expose Arya to Tywin just to mess with things.
Ive said it on the orginal video Ill say it on this one, The Great Walder Frey had no reason to punish Robb Stark for his actions untill Robb Strak betrayed him. The Red Wedding was 100% justified and if Robb was to keep his oath Great Walder Frey would do the same.
