I kept looking and looking for your posts and finally gave up.......I figured you had SOBERED up and decided that running a web site was a pain in the south end of a northbound jackass. None the less, I just thought I'd say howdy cuz.....you're not forgotten. I hope that the remodel on your house went well and it's even better than you guys hoped for. I have to hire that stuff out these days since I turned 79 a few weeks ago and quite frankly, I'm too dumb to lie and too mean to die. Take care cuz and enjoy your summer.
@@markpatterson5250 Hi Cuz. Thanks for sending me a message. I have stopped posting on RU-vid, it takes to much time. We have been renovation a lot but for the moment we are taking a break. Right now we are in Lysekil with the boat. We will enjoy a concert this weekend. So how are you doing?
Hi Cuz. Thanks for your comment. I haven't done any videos for a while, sorry for that. We have been to busy with reparing our old house. Hi Cuz. Nice to hear from you. Well I am not doing so many videos at the moment, we are rebuilding a small house in our garden. We will see if I get the time and inspiration to do a video soon.

@@CarinaMalmstedt same here! But we have just a small ski boat for fun on the river…we just had it winterized & now we are having a new boat cover made! Getting ready to put it in storage.
Hi cuz! Nice video. I hope that this comment is not deleted like some of mine recently.....??? I tried to give you a site for cajun cooking and my email......?? Oh well. Old sailor's superstition (who's superstitious? knock on wood.....ha ha) that when you see a porpoise/dolphin it means good luck. So, were my comments deleted accidently or on PORPOISE? take care cuz.

Hi cuz! My first comment didn't post.....?? Somehow when you show these small Swedish coastal towns, it seems like I've been there before.......strange, huh? I admire your sailing skills, which are dismal in me. I worked on big ships, super tankers, container ships, passenger ships and others, but only went "sailing" a couple of times with friends on their sail boats. The big sailing vessel in your video made me think of my Swedish gt. grandfather who was a mate on Swedish sailing vessels all over the world. The shrimp looked yummie. I love our Alaskan cold water jumbo prawns cooked cajun style....yumm. Take care cuz

Hi cuz! I lived in New Orleans for a few years and developed a cajun appetite. That means hot (but not too hot), spicey food. It's amazing what they can do with "warm water MUSH" and when you apply their spices/sauces to our good cold water seafood......it CURLS me toes girl!!.....ha ha take care@@CarinaMalmstedt

Yes I have a close bound to my children. Now they have moved out and first it felt empty. But now I am happy that they live their own life. I am still their support, if they need me. Thanx for your nice feed-back💗
Beautiful dog!! I have a mini golden doodle and he is the best boy! Very calm & sweet! We also had a female black lab for 13 years & she was amazing, as well. That is incredible how well you have her trained and playing the piano! 💛🎉
Hi cuz! Nice video. My computer has been blitzo the past week, but limping along now. I do want to thank you for motivating me. I went internet searching for my relatives in Lysekil and frankly, I'm pretty excited, but no solid results .....yet. I found Lasses Photo in Lysekil, who's owner might be related......(waiting on email response). His shop is in downtown Lysekil, and guess what? He's right next door to a BAKERY.....makes me wonder if it is my Aunt Matilda's bakery (site shows yummmmmmmie cream puffs too....ha ha). What REALLY threw me........IF Lasse is my cousin.....he looks a lot like YOU!! I may not be calling you cousin in JEST for long!! ha ha Take care cuz

The X40 looks very well equipped and the build quality looks good but I know yours is slightly bigger, so would you still go for the same size as well?
Thanks for your comment. We are very happy and pleased with our boat and has no thoughts with buying another brend. The size is great for us and we can easily bring kids and friends sling🥰
Thanx Cuz for a nice video. Nice to see you guys keeping your sail boat in such good shape and taking such good care of it. My "yatcht" is 12 ft. long and aluminum because all the money is in the house! I've heard tell that a boat is a hole in the ocean into which one pours MONEY! BTW cute little beach house that some Swedish Midgets have there in frame 0:35....also easy lawn to mow. Take care hope to see more videos soon.
I just google earthed the "midget house" in your video.....Found where you guys dock your nice sailboat.......near Ringskar, right? As a retired 3rd mate/navigator, I still like to play with maps. Street level pix are outdated though.
Thanx Cuz. Yes we take care of the boat and I agree that it is a hole in the water😂😂. The Storm didn’t turn out that bad. It took another path more south from where we live. Today i am in the car the whole day. Bringing my son and his girlfriend to Uppsala where they are going to study. The I drive back 5,5 hours😅.

Nice video cuz! You and your husband have a good "camera eye". It's a gift that not everybody has. I don't know a terribly lot about Spain, even though I've been to Cadiz, Algaseras and El Fero (Franco's birthplace) on ships over the years, plus Gibaltar a few times on ships and Lisbon, but those are different. Cream puffs are on ME, when you guys show up here in Juneau......ha ha Instead of a "sister"city between Lysekil and Juneau, I propose a SIAMESE TWIN sister city designation.
Hi cuz! I just watched and enjoyed this video. Beautiful sail boat you guys have. I can't help but think of my grandfather fishing year round a hundred years ago in your area in a sail boat. I'm asuming ?? the fishery was herring, but don't know. Is there an Atlantic salmon run there?
Hi Cuz. Well we often get makrell but there is salmon and herring as well. We bought our sailingboat during covid. Today we have got visit from our middle boy. He is 21 and Will start at the university in three weeks😊
Cousin Carina,.........oh you poor sweet lady......I'm sorry to hear that you had sufferings from Covid. I too had it and it was no fun....one symtom was I had complete larengytus....and when you are a babbler.....it was a disaster for me.....didn't last though. I'm pretty much a hermit these days and vulnerable to covid and I hadn't been out of the house for 3 weeks and the neighbor brought me some misdelivered mail and his wife sent me some of her home made candy......a day and a half later I was flat on my back (more so than "usual")
Cousin Carina.......beautiful town, beautiful family! I'm jealous of your history, which is part of me, so that makes it strange for me. Juneau, Alaska is one of the oldest towns in Alaska........it's a whopping 140 years old! Should I laugh or cry?... ha ha
Another nice video cousin Carina. Did I read or hear ?? someplace that the predominate red painted houses, the color comes from crushed red rock mined someplace in Sweden? I like the color and my house is the same color (they call the color here in Alaska "navajo red".
You see, wee even have the same paint on our houses cousin Mark. Today we have been in Smögen, it is not far from Lysekil. It is a lovely and busy summercoastvillage with a lot of boats and restaurants during the summer:).

You jogged my memory of when I was in Oslo on a ship many years ago and bought my sweet Russian wife a really nice sweater to take home to her. She ended up putting it in the washing machine and it shrunk so much that a five year old could wear it.....ha ha (true story)

Thanx again. oh....and....do they bury most power/phone lines in Sweden? I like the looks of it. I remember a pic of her house my Aunt Matilda from Lysekil sent to my sister when we were just kids and no ugly power poles, etc in the pic.

Nice Video cousin Carina. I went on a seafood diet a while back.......SEE food......EAT it! that didn't work out too well, so I tried another method to cut my weight in HALF....I bought a second bathroom scale and put one foot on each scale......WHALA!

I used to swim here, years ago, in our harbor in Alaska (summer time only), but I have an Alaskan tan (pure white) and when I started putting on weight as the years went by (I'm 78 now).....the local Indian tribe (Tlingit) tried to harpoon me.....thinking I was a beluga whale! ps an Alaskan bikini is a pink parka!

My older brother married a lady who's parents came from Skvanger (?? spelling) Norway and they settled in Tacoma, Washington. I was born in a part of Seattle (Ballard) that they still call "snoose junction" because of all the Scandanavians there. They used to define "Norwegian face powder" as copenhagen (chewing tobacco).

@@CarinaMalmstedtHi cousin Carina. Yea Stavanger is correct. I liked Oslo, but it was many years ago and my memory is of a 78 yr old. As a merchant seaman, I've always read a lot of books. One of my favs is "The 100 yr. old man who climbed out the window and disappeared" by Jon Jonnsen....who lives on Gotland (??). Another good one is "To forge a Nation" by Carl Munson, an American Swede (ancestors also came from Western Sweden) that I grew up with and is my friend still.
Thank you for a very nice video. My Gt. Grandfather was a 3rd mate on Swedish sailing ships and he and his family lived in Lysekil. On at least one voyage to America he found a group from Lysekil living in Chinook, Washington (mouth of the Columbia River) and advised his son (my grandfather, a fisherman) to move there for the abundant salmon fishery. I am a retired merchant seaman and live in Juneau, Alaska and oddly enough is of the exact same Latitude as Lysekil.
@@CarinaMalmstedt I was on an American ship years ago in Oslo, but never made Lysekil. My older brother & family did years ago.....saw relatives there. My grandfather's sister used to have a bakery there. If you live in Lysekil, we might be cousins.
@@CarinaMalmstedt Marstrand looks beautiful too. I live in Tee Harbor, Alaska. I've sailed through the Keil Canal many times on ships. Been to Gdansk once and Leningrad a few times. I married a Russian girl in Leningrad in 1979. We were married 36 years and she passed away 7 yrs ago. youtube..".tee harbor rental" and ours is the red house with the retaining wall. It feels like you ARE my cousin...ha ha

My wife and I live in Munich (but hoping to move further north soon) and I would love to travel up through Denmark, Sweden and Norway and then head over to Scotland, down through England (where I'm from) and back over the channel. I lost 15 pounds in three months on the 5:2 fasting diet That was a few years ago, I kept most of that weight off I found it difficult to maintain due to not sure what to eat on the fasting days that wouldn’t go over 500 cal and leave me feeling satisfied. I found the first three months to be not too bad. After the third month, I was just so ravenous on the 500 cal days that I would go over and could not stick to the plan However, since I still have about 50 pounds to lose, and I’ve tried other intermittent fasting styles like the 18/6 that I have not been as successful, I’m going to be starting the 5:2 again this coming week I know if I can just get the last weight off I can maintain For maintenance, you only have to have one day of 500 cal instead of two I think I can handle that
