Telling the story of our faith, our family, and our farm. I (Jesse) am a 3 year Bethel alumni, worship pastor for over 15 years, and have since walked away from the Charismatic Church.
This channel is to document the process of learning reformed theology, the growing of our family, and the work we put into our 4-acre homestead.
Were you diagnosed after a Covid infection? My cousin was just diagnosed with diabetes 6 months after Covid. Looking into it, I discovered this is fast becoming common after Covid.
01:05:19 But Jesus although he was fully God in nature he came down to earth with the full limitations of a human. He could do no miracles until after his baptism and then not until after his temptations when he came back in the power of the Holy Spirit. However to say that we can all move in the same power as Jesus is wrong. Yes some will do greater miracles but he gives the supernatural gifts to different people in the body as he wills... Except the first apostles did move in all of the gifts and I think the small 'a' apostles did in Acts as well.... Also Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing, so he didnt weild power without being under the authority of His Father... And bethel talks about growing into the fullness of Christ but typically they are talking about power, not character, not walking in love...
Wanted to thank you for your videos. I’ll spare you the details, but your perspective has helped ground a part of my brain that’s been wilding out with information lately. Your words matter and reach people!
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His methods haven't changed since the Bible. New age people tend to use what works. God's created systems work they just don't necessarily believe in Jesus and they definitely have demonic influence. I would never tell people that something which is in the Bible over and over again is New Age.
DUDE, I have never been able to relate to someone like I did to you at the end of your video. Calling Bethel a cult after 3 years of solid indoctrination is still difficult 10 years later (started in 2014)
I came out of new age deception (back to Jesus now praise God) and the trips to Heaven literally just sound like the guided visualization RU-vid videos I used to watch
Sorry about the fleas. That reminds me of Corrie Ten Boom story about thanking God for the fleas. Anyway, no rush, we enjoy your content whenever it comes out 😊
Its challenging, because most believers admit they simply do not study God’s Word for themselves. Couple that with - I’ve found when a church teaches nothing but topical series, lots of verses are taken out of context = LOTS OF ERROR. However, many churches that do teach systematically through the Word, and exegete it appropriately, they tend to be cessationist, so then there’s a ton of head knowledge but people are not equipped in the gifts, nor are they taught that God gave the gifts as a means to an end. They won’t be in Heaven and they are not to be idolized / worshiped. They are to ultimately point others to HIM. And I don’t like how those of us who embrace the gifts for today are being lumped in with NAR.
I went to Bethel’s school of ministry. I recall hearing speakers share from a preterist perspective, and I never went back. That said, I wholeheartedly believe the gifts are for today, and that the abuse of them (by bethel for instance), does not invalidate them. In my experience though, many charismatics tend to not study the Word for themselves. So it’s SUPER EASY to dupe them.
Dude, you should get with Joel Richardson. He has a great handle on Bethel’s preterist theology, which is foundational to their flawed theology vs Ihop’s who are pre millenial.
An even better reason not to sing Bethel Hillsong elevation is their theology of worship is charismatic not reformed... They come to a worship song from a totally different theology of what is worship why we worship and how that plays out in song.
My nephew died and my prayers didn't bring him back. Also I didnt get married or have kids and some missionaries i was translating for pointed out that everyone was saved. I lost my faith for 15 years. I had been a veey sincere dedicated Christian. I made it back and am just happy to be saved .
I had to leave and no one cared about taking care or the lambs. I was sad about that. I felt I had left a cult. Indid become a medicine woman because that was the natural next step
Love what you are doing! I do not respect John MacArthur, though. He is guilty of covering up physical & sexual abuses done.by Grace Community Church. He has never publicly confessed repented or repented of these things. On the contrary, he shamed and condemned the victims. I have lost all respect for him.
..well said, I agree. It doesnt surprise me though in some respects, I have never trusted him and his twisting of scripture to make out that the supernatural gifts have ceased has always made me suspicious of him..
I cannot tell you how many people I know who, after getting ministry from Christian lay counselors, had to then go to PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED CHRISTIAN THERAPISTS to deal with the damage caused PLUS the original issues. There is a reason these professionals go through extensive training. You would not go to your neighbor who is a chef to have heart surgery! He might have some knife skills BUT HE IS NOT A TRAINED HEART SURGEON. For example, people who struggle with porn absolutely need to get help from a CSAT - Certified Sex Addiction Therapist. The partners of those who have been betrayed with porn are experiencing their own deep trauma & need PROFESSIONAL THERAPY specific to trauma bonds, gaslighting that occurs, etc. These people are doing untold harm.
Remnant radio is probably more dangerous than Bethel or Benny Hinn. They claim to be the voice of reason and wisdom in the charismatic movement when they are neither. They openly condemn one bad doctrine or bad teacher while openly condoning another. They condemn the teachings and lifestyle of someone like Benny Hinn while calling him a Christian brother and refusing to admit he is a false teacher. They were completely snowed by Mike Bickle and his cohorts. They promote Heidi Baker. They admit to speaking false prophecies and admit others have prophesied falsely but refuse to call anyone a literal false prophet. Then, they even want to teach others to falsely prophesy as well. No, they are not a voice reason or wisdom. Quite the opposite. They are supremely confused and unqualified to teach or lead in tge church of Jesus Christ.
..maybe but there are many different opinions out there, they are very similar to what you get if you go to bible college !! I find they do make me think about why i believe what i believe... which is always healthy to do.. there is a thinking out there that the way prophecy is described in the new testament makes it different from the old... but still if someone is getting on the public stage and prophesying world events exactly as they did in the OT then i do expect 100% accuracy... Typically they are prophesying peace where there is no peace, the pre covid prophecies of prosperity and a good year prove that..
I’ve been pentecostal for 50 years and I can tell you your statement about charismatics not being in the word is completely false. We are digging deep into the scriptures and are encouraged to read God’s Word every day. And this has been over the course of my lifetime in several states and many churches. Otherwise, I enjoyed your video.
What I don't understand, is why don't churches own worship leaders just write and teach their own songs to their congregation. It would match their theological ideas... It's a simple solution to this issue. If you can play an instrument, can sing, then why not make your own songs?
..interesting if you look at what the early church fathers taught (ad70-300) before assimilation into Rome, we have their letters.. They did not teach saved by faith alone (mental ascent). Calvin actually went back to Augustine ad400, not the early church fathers... the early church fathers come against the gnostics who taught you just had to believe and how you lived didnt matter.. Here is david bercot on what did the early church fathers teach about salvation ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JzqDV91AFPo.htmlsi=Fsoc8Us2XvQNW1h9 and here is leighton flowers on did the early church fathers teach calvanism ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z0FfmuOP4D4.htmlsi=IhTEh2er9RypePCQ David Bercots book - Will the theologians please sit down goes into his thinking on Augustine and Calvin... You find things like, Calvin taught that the OT law hadnt ceased so it was still right to stone people to death for apostasy for example... he had an equivalent JW put to death.. among other awful things he did... You find that his geneva bible which had copius bible notes in it (people listen to the commentator before they take the bible at its word) every where influenced people along the same lines... that was taken to the new world and justified people in killing the red indians for example...
I wonder how many traditional hymns we would have to stop singing if we gave this much attention to the theology and lifestyles of the people who wrote them. Today most of those writers, and whatever theology they had, are long forgotten and we judge those songs only on their own merit.
For anyone looking into Calvinism, my advice is to run as fast as you can away from these people. They preach a COMPLETELY different Jesus who does not love everyone, did not die for everyone, and does not want everyone to repent and be saved. Their twisted theology comes first above the clear biblical Jesus who loves all, wants all to be saved, and died for all.

When you are being attacked for pursuing your first love, it is personal. When they try to demean it and shame you under their cold systematic theology I can’t help but get angry (try not to sin though). Jesus supernaturally delivered me over 35 years ago from some very serious addictions. It was emotional, personal, powerful, and real and I will NEVER deny nor replace what He has done in my life with some cold systematic unbiblical 5 pt belief system.
“There’s a ditch on both sides of the road.” I love that, so true. I’ve been in both ditches! Thanks for this conversation, I can relate so much! I’m now at a “middle of the road” church. Safe from the ditches haha.
I was in Randy Clark and other healing ministries missions. It was great but I do think that shouldnt be the focus. But nice to include it. I defineitly got lost at some point from the teachings. 🎉 I have prayed and miracles happened but .... yeah it didn't end well for me
