I watched because i was wondering if i needed to pre-cook the asparagus-- you didn't, does it soften enough? I don't want stringy/tough asparagus in the quiche, company is coming!

Do we use top heat or bottom heat or both while cooking these in oven? I have a top broiler and only cooking with bottom heat burns the underside of cookies
