Hard to believe our little monster will be a year old tomorrow! Kodi's favorite game is tug so we figured a spring pole would be a great gift, I think it's safe to say he loves it! We have ours set fairly low, we don't want him jumping too much and hurting his joints since he's still growing. As you can see, it's still a great workout! He was exhausted after just a few minutes.
If you have a sturdy tree to attach it to you can easily set this up for $20 or less with some rope, a toy, and a garage spring. Used properly, a spring pole and it's cousin the flirt pole are great exercises to drain high energy dogs and tone them up! It's important to start easy and build up to harder, longer sessions to prevent injury. You can also incorporate obedience work with commands such as come, wait, drop it, leave it, get it, etc. This round was just for fun, but over time we'll be working in these commands to create a great mental and physical activity!
