My problem is that if I do high fat, my cholesterol goes crazy high. With higher carb I store body visceral and subq body fat. Not sure what to do. What's a good percentage of all 3 macros focusing on protein for muscle? I know I don't want to do KETO, but what's the most amount of carbs I can eat, but still get the benefit of it being a "lower carb" diet?
Is yoghurt plus a small quantity of buckwheat or any grain plus some nuts a good enough breakfast? I cannot eat eggs in the morning or fish, I kind of would throw up
Dr Becky- I wasn’t aware of your other RU-vid channel “ 2 Fit Docs” where your hubby talked about his illness a few years back. He’s looking great ! Praise God & God bless and keep you both❤
Another question Doc, is it ohk to break the fast with banana oat meal. I use banana as my sweatner every time. I take overnight oats for breakfast most of the times and sometimes for dinner. I soak them with Chia seeds, few dark chocolate chips, banana, and soy milk. To top up I put melted peanut butter that has no sugar and salt.
I'd rather drink my coffee with salt in it (and butter, and MCT) first thing in the morning, and just do a few squats (or dance with some cool music) instead!
Thanks, Dr. Becky. I didn't know that Eggplant was a fruit. I got it twice in my weekly 'vegan' basket and stared at it quizzically with curiosity till I found recipes. I don't stare at them any longer. It's terrific sautéd in olive oil and filling especially learning that it's very high in fibre. Great for my BG control.
Love watching how Dr Becky looks at acknowledges what Dr Keith has to say - love ❤personified - I’ve been drinking 500-750ml tap water upon waking before my morning coffee - I’m down 24 kilos in 2 years no strict dieting other than TRE 12-16 hours per day and limited processed carbs sugar
Crazy part is even our grandparents junk food was healthier. My memes pies where made with whole ingredients compared to the chemical Frankenstein foods of today.
Love Dr. Becky and everything she says here but I do not agree about the product LMNT . It has way too much sodium per packet even to take when I’m fasting. It’s also ridiculously overpriced at $40 plus per box. You can easily make your own electrolyte drink to take after a workout for Pennies.. Other then that, great information as always❤
Great video and great to see Dr. Keith again. In Finland we dip in to the lake / sea or cold shower every time we come out of the sauna and we’ll do that several times. In the winter, in many places a hole is made into the ice, to enable dipping in or then go out and roll in the snow.
I am 53 and sick of being 19 stone - it happened a few years ago when the peri started going into the meno journey. These videos are calming, scientific and identifying how thongs can go wrong and what motivation is. Seriously its not somethong I was aware of - i am that person who is onto the new thing and getting the high... I even think that's happened in my relationships. Thank you for describing the phenomena ❤
❤love this but I have a question😮!!? How soon after the 2 cups of water should I take my thyroid tablet - which is supposed to be 20/30 mins before breakfast or coffee right?? Thanks - love the fact you often support your info with Data.
Nice to know! I drink at least 8 ounces of tap water first thing in the morning just to rehydrate from the overnight. Additional benefits! Yes! Thank you!
I just want to mention - I really like Becky and can listen to what she has to say all day long. But Keith adds something that is extremely helpful which has to do with how he explains things, or the examples he gives. Becky is wonderful; but both of you together, are powerful. Stay with us Keith - you are needed. And I think this mission is just beginning.
I eat brunch/lunch and dinner, I give myself a range so I can make it a lifestyle for the rest of my days, so my first meal is between 11am -1pm and second is between 6pm - 8pm so I don't think too much about it and just go about my day, if it's 10am in the morning and I feel hungry I tell myself it's just another hour then I can eat, some times when it reach 11am I don't even feel hungry anymore and end up eating at 12 or 1pm that way it's easier to stick to and also I try to be mindful but not count calories, just make sure my meals are balanced with carbs (brown rice, whole wheat pasta or potato etc) veggies and Protein, I also eat a normal portion of food even If I'm not the one who cooked the food and I don't know the calories, not piling on food on my plate or jumping for the food scale. I try to exercise 3-4x a week for about 20-30 mins whether it's dancing or a workout on RU-vid and I walk at minimum 7,000 steps a day, and last but not least sleep 7-8 hours everynight.
Im wondering how to incorporate this information coupled with the huge benefits to our bodies of dry fasting, which gives the kidneys and liver a rest from all their detoxifying efforts. It would make sense to then flood the body with water to rev up all the organs and systems to get a thermogenic effect. Thanks for this knowledge!
