Do you know what people need to respect artists more for the time and effort they put into their drawings instead of liking a content farm, that puts the least amount of effort possible, just to make a few bucks to put into their pocket and cares less about the people who actually tried hard to make their art!!!😡 Like imagine the only thing you do with your life is trace art and then sell it as yours I mean it’s like going to a store, taking the disk and walking out the door. This is because of de damm success of Damm seconds (pun intended), but at least he makes it fun, with quality and by himself or his crew (no stolen art, just his iconic art style)
The fact that this type of BS happens all the time and always gets more views than the orignal creators make, and the worst part is, they sometimes can't do anything about it, and that fact hurts me because artists work hard for their artwork their hobby, their enjoyment, and for it to be stolen and used for awful and even downright disturbing and sexual content, and with the rise of AI and the possible comeback of Elsagate, it's gonna be hard for us Artists' work not to be stolen
Art theft really is annoying. I hope people begin to try harder to prevent this in the future. It peeves me to see people trace art and say they were “inspired.” Then they try to make it seem like they’re innocent from doing anything, they’re only making it worse. Artists input time and effort into their drawings, only for this to happen. I agree with you on this, and I don’t think you’re being overly dramatic. It’s your content, and you have all rights to it.
I remember when my friend came over to my house and I showed her my art and she really thought I wouldn’t caught her trying to trace my art and she was gonna show it to the whole class- LIKE GIRL WTH- 💀✋
If I was in the guy she’s in that situation, I would definitely just take it away from any of my channels that I did have an understand everything that you feel because I know it feels to have our traced I have had my art traced in multiple discord servers, as well as Pinterest end, it really sucks that people cannot draw so they buy stuff off of other people to trace and most of them do a horrible job doing it.
You had every right to defend yourself and your artwork. I'm glad this person didn't try to use the "Copyright Act/Fair Use" argument to defend himself, as it would've fallen flat and been invalidated on the basis he was making revenue off your stolen art. Good for you for standing up for yourself and protecting your creativity!
I used to have this girl in school who would rummage in my desk to look for art that I made, trying to get it for popularity. One fateful day I could her and she moved away because she was getting infamous for that little ‘accident.’ A year later I saw her again with an old piece of MY artwork on social media, and she tried to scribble out my mark, making it hers but it’s clear she didn’t make it. She posted her original drawings and as an artist, IT LOOKED AS SHITTY AS THAT CONTENT FARM SPAM CHANNEL CALLED ‘DeathDollie’ or whatever the fuck her name is
There few cases it’s ok to trace : - to improve Art - for Storyboarding - over 3D Model refs And what you have talked about falls under neither of these three cases
Nobody whose opinions matter cares. Would you rather the show look stiff and robotic? This isn't the Filmation era where studios have an excuse to make stuff move as little as possible.
