I have a chicken with NO evident crop or egg-bound conditions. She is STILL showing ALL the signs of egg-bound and barely pooping a white and clear stream of poop. I am concluding the issue is a GIZZARD impaction. I intend to flush her with this today. COMMENTS, ADVICE, CHICKEN GALLERY THOUGHTS??

Going to try this! Just got baby chicks and one seems to have an impacted or sour crop as it's not emptying completely. Tried the water and olive oil which helped but didn't fully take care of it, will make this tonight and give to her!

This works !!! My hen had a severe compaction, after 3 days the crop became soft and squishy, I purged her as recommended on day 2 with some fluid being excreted, on day 3 the crop seemed even more watery, purged again a few times and there must have been at least a cup full of fluid excreted. I am confident that my hen will now be on the road to full recovery. Thank you.😊

I have a very important question. Okay, say I vaccinate once per week due to only about 8 chickens hatching. Is it okay for the vaccinated chicks to be in the next brooder over? I am just worried if the chicks are in proximity to the vaccinated chicks that they will be exposed to the virus? I wish I could vaccinate them every day, but the vaccine only comes in large 1,000 dose quantities. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏
