Makes you laugh that they say it’s not about condition or diagnosis BUT when you get the pip form back and they decline and say “you said you find …. Difficult, but you haven’t been diagnosed” literally what was said in the pip form

Really appreciate the content. I do have a question. Until recently i was a chef, i've working to a very high, 2 michelin star standard with the likes of Tom Kerridge & Phil Howard. But after 10 year of PPMS i have had to limp away from my 30 year career. Can i cook a simple meal? YES! Unquestionable. But the loss of ability & livelihood is crippling, not to mention the pain & fatigue, depression & anxiety. Am i any less worthy of support for stubbornly refusing to hang up my apron especially when nutrition is a vital part of my healing and hopefully can one day provide a service to others and an income for myself. Any advice would be very welcome as i know i'm going to struggle with this.

Totally unrealistic. People including myself genuinely occurring chronic illness. Are absolutely unable to work. Logic many chronic ill people are unable to manage to house works. This is untrue. I have no such thoughts. Vast majority of PiP claims are genuine. How about focusing on the actual reality of the many chronic ill people who are refuse PiP. There was a documentary done on the scandals of the dwp pip assessments and assessors some years back…it’s an eye opener…how past assessors too part and explained how they are told to lie and alter the evidence…. And what to look out for in a face to face…. But it also applies to telephone assessments….It may still be available to view…

The problem we disable folk have with being honest as most folk are, disabled or not, is these questioned are published and endorsed by politician who think everyone is dishonest simply because they all are.

I was awarded what I deserve but only because I was in a mental health hospital for 8 months during the application process I didn’t have an assessment they awarded me the top rates by checking my medical records The DRs at the hospital helped a lot with providing all the details needed I’m not looking forward to the renewal process tho 2027 is only a couple of years away I’m already feeling anxious about that

I think this may be a new thing so I thought I'd mention it - the pip forms now say do not send in any evidence that you have had to pay for - so they won't even accept a letter from GP now.

If you are genuine you should be ok but many lie to get the extra cash fact .also many are illiterate and cannot read or write so get others to fill out forms so they fail many are not eligible fact if you can walk talk move your hands and head stand up sit down drive a fffg car then you are fit many do this but do not want to work for themselves or family it's a way of life to them and will keep on taking government cash .if the government can give away our cash to illegal trash then why not do the same that's what they think .

hi charlie i could really do with your help,i have been waiting for a hip transplant for 2 years,one week before my opp my right hip locked up and i fell over breaking my wrist and many ribs,my mental health has been compromised and now i"m on anti depressants ,i have been house bound for two years,i had a p.i.p assessment and failed,i cant walk or cook anything and i have to sleep downstairs because i can"t climb stairs,i could really do with your help filling out my p.i.p form,

I watched your videos and then completed my form using the information you gave out. I then had an assessment and thought I had flunked it because the assessor said "yes, but what if etc etc" and I just kept saying it was irrelevant. If I had to answer i told them my husband supported me. Today I got awarded pip with no further information required. So glad of your help. Thank you Charlie.

I suffer with severe fibromyalgia and I am pretty much bedridden and I don’t eat unless my boyfriend or my family help. Even choosing food is something I cannot do! I have severe depression and was told I have terminal cancer with under a year to live. I get full benefits but worry that they will take my pip and benefits because I am still here 2 years later. I also lose control of my hands and scold myself and I always stumble and I happen to have a fall just yesterday. Will I lose my full pip and benefits? I am bedridden due to fibromyalgia. It's rather daunting filling it out. I use to work in PIP and UC and I have read hundreds and hundreds of PIP forms and WCA forms and i am now trying to do mine for bipolar psychosis and I have all the evidence printed out etc and I am feeling overwhelmed. I will be having PIP assessment recorded as capita are total liars and frauds. I have spoke to hundreds of people who had nothing but lies on their assessment including my own family. I've not worked there in years now thankfully but yeah, they fully lie.

Hello, Any help/asvice with sickle cell patients .

PIP is not difficult if your telling the truth. Fill your boxes out ram them with how your condition effects you. Your trying to give them a good snap shot of your worst day. Yes there are questions designed to trip you up, but they are easy to spot, like you don’t cook because your to weak or unsteady to handle the pans. When microwaves pop up it’s still cooking! So you would have the issues. I added an A4 sheet of extra information on each question so that I could give them a very clear snap shot of my days. I’m bedridden but I can just about get to the bathroom. My assessment lady was very understanding and I even asked my O.T to do an assessment to add to the form. Just don’t panic and relax if you need it you will get it, but the form filling is key.
