If you're still doing this, you should check out Jamie St Merat from band Ulcerate. Dissolved Orders drum cam for example but you can't miss with this guy.
I grew up on Neil Peart. This guy definitely caught my attention. I love music. If you can play the drums, I admire you. These people are amazing. It's timing, Physics and Science all crashing down on your ears at once. Emotional, AND spiritual (how's that for redundancy? ). I love writing. It's an eternal battle to have words in my head come out accurately on a screen. (particularly when you're high on ketamine). There's no glory without a struggle. Drummers are the real deal in my opinion. And it fuels "synaptic plasticity" which counters negativity.
Even more impressive, you didn't mention it. On top of everything, you can see him adding ghost notes. You just can't hear them in the mix. Just found your channel. I'm a fellow drummer. This is a good channel 🤘
Thanks for the advice me and my friend are starting a punk band in highschool the name were thinking of is "dead seven" or " phasmogoria" I am currently writing an ep right now but so far my band is just me (on guitar) and my friend (vocals)
im going to start a band called "teens" with my friends, and currently we are preparing one single. im songwriting the most and one of my bandmates helps me a bit. for me its the best to hum something that pops up in my head and then make it a whole song. its the easiest for me. i also have a trouble with drum patterns, so sometimes our drummer makes it for me😭
To be honest Pat is the best drum reactioner at RU-vid: he has a passion for drums, he knows alot about drumming, his comments are always right on spot, he talks alot inbetween sections, he points you things all the others do not see. Whatever you do now Pat - good luck with it. I'll stick around with hope to see more of your reations.
I loved the reaction Pat! I just wanted to point one thing out that Gavin playing the hi-hat with his foot in the later part was not because he was "excited" or something, he intentionally did that to give the effect of the fast pace of the song! It's not something accidental or something he improvised in the moment, you can even hear it on the actual studio recording! Gavin never does anything accidentally and always plays for the song! Thanks ❤
Can you make a video in how to have band rehearsal with just your headphones running out your interface and what you should do in your daw to get the best sound
3rd reaction vid on this musician n im 0 for 3 impressed.'this is an easy set' said by the dude doing a reaction vid while ray makes millions.what a douche
The need to route every drum mic as stereo is extremely wasteful of resources and quickly exhausts the 16 stereo outputs of a standard sized kit with 3 rack toms and 2 floor toms. I really wish there was an easy button in the SD3 mixer to route all mics as mono before being bussed to the multi-channel stereo pairs to the driver so that I can easily just bus them as individual mics in Logic. I haven't found a video yet that describes how to do this. Yes, this compromises the ability to use bleed, pans, and presets within SD3, but for those of us who solely purchased SD3 for the samples and perhaps eKit tracking and want to do ALL our production work within Logic, it seems a reasonable ask of Toontrack. If anyone has a link that can show me how to do this, please let me know.
Yeah I think I remember a tutorial (from GetGood Drums) mentioning that setting up stereo channels for multi-outputs was the best way to go, at least for their libraries, yet I'm not sure they ever specified why. In an IRL session, most of the drum tracks would be mono...
Fun side note, the band asked Eloy to write a song from a drummers POV and they created around it....this, is that song. The final chapters of Slipknot are going to be fucking amazing.
