I had this for the first time yesterday when I ordered Peruvian takeout. It’s the stew that they call seco de carne. They had this onion-based condiment on the side and it was absolutely life-changing. So good! I liked it so much I forgot to wonder why the hell Peruvians call such a juicy stew dry. Nothing seco about it and with those onions on top, it really shined.
I made this recipe today and it turned out super delicious. Thank you for this recipe and also as another commenter said, you got straight to the point without a lot unnecessary chatter.
Just discovered your videos and so sad to see if you haven't made one in a while! Please come back! I'm Peruvian-american and you're helping me connect to my roots
This is by far the best recipe for Peruano beans that I have ever tried. The last step of blending the beans really adds the right texture. Creamy and delicious. Thanks, Antonio.
Love your videos! Are you making more and do you have an IG page? The link I clicked in your bio didn't work. - from a fellow peruana reconnecting with her cultura

🌎Peruvian Beans 2 cups of Dry Canary Beans Sauce: 1 tbsp of Olive Oil 4 slices (6-8 oz) of Bacon 1 Large Red Onion 1 tbsp of Garlic Paste 1 tsp of Cumin 1 tsp of Oregano Salt & Pepper 2 Cups of beans and broth into blender
It’s so funny when you add salt and you say “you got to season you’re sh**”. Made Lomo the other day and totally forgot salt🤦🏾♀️ so not good lol now I will remember your phrase! 👍🏾
Omg this rice is so good and so easy to make. For my reference, I used 1 cup of Jasmine rice and 1.5 cups of water and cooked for 15 min. Came out perfect!
