I was well on my way to making a donut through this tutorial (which btw is fantastic so far) and that's when blender decided to crash on me :c. I had to redo the entire previous part which was 5 all because I made the good ol' mistake of not saving my progress periodically :'). Let this be a tip for those who are also doing this, PLEASE SAVE PERIODICALLY! this costed me an hour which isn't too bad but it reminded me of why you should save lol. Again great tutorial, I shall now truck along and see this journey through to the end :).
If u click on shading tab and don't see anything follow these steps. Click the button with this design/logo -> ~/` (i don't know what this is called) After clicking it you have to choose the option which says "FRAME ALL".
When I wanted to smoothen the sphere it took me to the small sphere in the middle, tried redoing it, boom icing is gone, control z to undo, boom everything gone. Thanks a lot. Moving on to other projects
I think this is the first time that I feel bad for owning a 4080. Feels like it's rendering faster than the 4 3090's and I'm listening to the pep talk about "everyone starts on crappy pc". Love the series so far. The comments have been very helpful and I've been stuck only a few times and throwing away parts of the donut bc I did "SOMETHING" terribly wrong :D. Half way done - yay. The hardest part is gonna be remembering all of that and ACTUALLY understand, what the fuck I was doing at some steps. The mesh deformations are straight forward, but some of the node stuff didn't quite click yet. Thanks for your work, sensei ;D. This is the 3rd time I tried to pick up blender. The first time, that I'm actually doing it, it seems :)
I'm an 11 year old from India who loves 3D and I wanna become a filmmaker when I grow up. Your tutorial has helped me a ton and I'm really inspired from these videos. I've followed your last 3 series and hope to complete this one too. So thank you Blender Guru! You're my inspiration!
when I bevel the sprinkle it's not at 45 degrees like it is on yours, it was at first, but I messed up the first time and had to start all over and now it's behaving differently, do I have to restart again?
