yet our translation for 'cusine' isnt genderless. and kære = dear, kær = cute( like a cute baby) so its more a mix of dearest and cutie. but its more a teen thing, adults just say they got a lady or a man( if unmarried )
American here. If someone asked me to take my shoes off in their house, I would leave. And I would never allow anyone to take their shoes off in my house unless you’re my girlfriend. I don’t even take my own shoes off in my house until it’s bedtime or shower time.
I still wonder why I can't just use my payment card when I can in less developed countries but then again we are in Denmark a modern country in the stone age
for years and years, I had a dentist from England., get this: his name is Peter O'Tool., I wasn't comfortable with the english language yet, so he put the best danish on, that he could, and it was acceptable., there was no question, he was from England, but we knew what eachother was talking about ^^

I leave for Copenhagen in 2 days. Back in January I picked up Duo Lingo to start learning Danish. I spent about 2 months with it. I got the section where I learned “Taler du Engelsk?” And found acceptance. Thank you, your videos have been good for preparing for Copenhagen!
The last time I read about the app, it ALWAYS needs to have location services on, at least for iOS devices, meaning you’ll need a charger, a power bank and probably a diesel generator just to get you through the day.
