I'm new to pickleball but what I don't understand is you guys keep hitting it back and forth at the same Force same angle what is wrong with you guys change it dramatically
how do people not get the joke. also people who hate on pickleball are just angry they don’t have happiness in their own lives. just cuz you don’t like it doesn’t mean everyone else shouldn’t. lame people always gotta hate
I'm planning on buying a pair from my local Walmart or Dick's Sporting Goods. It's about $40 for two paddles and three balls!😁👍 I BRAND NEW at pickleball!
This is really something! I didn't even know what pickleball was until an indoor court opened up in my neighborhood. NOW, I want to get some paddles and partners.😃👍
I'm new to trading, and I've lost a good sum trying out strategies I found in online tutorials. I would sincerely appreciate any recommendations you have.
I heard in another tournament on a hot mic, That folks were putting their paddles in the fridge before testing. Makes them harder. How ever, they need to come up with a better standard for deflection in paddles. We all know that the expansion and contraction change with Temp, humidity, etc. They need to set a Range of what they have to meet in the production models. Then use the same standard at a tournament. They may need a controlled chamber to make the testing uniform. At least this test all the paddles the same way.
The entire controversy around the PPA/USPA regulations make a lot more sense in light of the framing that they’re trying to control (and win) the arms race between their testing procedures and the onslaught of paddle innovations and submissions. Policing the ball makes a lot more sense as it drastically reduces the amount of moving parts in this arms race. I will say that there’s an alternate future where the sport could start looking like badminton, with hyper fast paddles and extremely light and slow balls to compensate. 😅
Why, just be yourselves and let them do their thing, except for the tifosi commercial breaks y’all’s podcast is cool. I’ll always be a pickleball studio fan though! Zane you are the man!!
Thanks guys. I saw Caitlin Clark play also. So, would getting CC involved in APP help promote the sport in college play? Michelle Esquivel has a history of horrific calls, especially in close games. If you look at the video, she didn't even see the ball bounce on both calls. IMO, she will cheat to win. I agree with Travis, the vocal players knew it was in. But winning is everything. Pathetic. Hire line judges that aren't half dead. And EVERYONE, stop giving, "the benefit of the drought", to players that constantly cheat. IMO, it is so obvious that Esquivel purposely calls that ball out to try to win. Come-on. All you are doing is promoting cheating.
Paddle policing is pointless. Let the pros play with whatever they want. A basic spec defining the paddle head size is all that’s needed. Maybe also a top end weight specification because the heavier it is the more force that can be exerted. As for grit specification , fuggetaboutit this is the secret sauce of a paddle that players should be able to leverage for competitive advantage.
In a different podcast with the head of USAP they were talking about how players were cooling their paddles so they wouldn’t fail testing and technically it’s legal since it’s not explicitly written that you cannot change the temp of your paddle.
