I found that when I was using the phone app the Bluetooth would interfere with my text notifications on my cell phone and that was a big problem. Because on the phone the Bluetooth had to be on all the time continuously
I need some help deciding...I am currently on the Omnipod 5 with G7 sensor....I am very active and the extra heavy cell phone is a pain in the rear all the time....plus the g7 will not auto bolus with O5....My levels are currently "out of control" is the term. I need a unit that will give me insulin at all times....I am currently looking at Medtronic 780G and the Tandom Tslim x2...help please!!!!!
I honestly think either one would be great, they both have really good algorithms. Just keep in mind, the Tandem will work with the Dexcom and the Medtronic only uses their CGM, a 7 day sensor compared to the 10 day Dexcom.
I got it 3 months ago, and a little late, but i went from a Hba1c of 9.6 to one of 6.4. My blood sugar has never been better. Easy to use and learn, small and convenient.
I tried this way...somehow my readings are completely off and wrong. But it's in at the back of my arm where the fat is..and i looked in the mirror. Now i am not sure what to do
According to the professional information I've received, the glucose readings displayed by the meter are about 30 minutes behind actual blood sugar levels as recorded with a finger prick. (not just a few minutes as mentioned in the video). It's great for being aware of trends in the blood sugar level, but we have to remind ourselves that a finger prick may be needed to confirm exact values before a treatment decision is made.
There's an additional reason to avoid ASA (Aspirin, Salicylic Acid, etc) when you are diabetic. ASA is an anti-inflammatory (NSAID), and this category of medication can put a strain on the kidneys. If someone is tending toward kidney failure (which is a potential complication of diabetes), use of this category of medication can push them farther in that direction. So, whenever possible, it's best to try to avoid NSAIDs...err on the side of caution. (Double check with your doctor before taking NSAIDs--they'll know your individual risk for complications.)
I am someone who doesn't carry their phone on their person 24/7 so using the reader was preferable from the start. For one thing, it's considerably smaller to carry than a phone! As for loss of connectivity, this happens often with the reader too--it's not just a phone thing. We've started to refer to is as "the reader getting lonely". Funny thing, though, when it does beep for a loss of connection, there's often a change happening that I should be aware of (and act on before getting to an alarm stage)!
I have the Mobi…wait until Tandem works through the glitches. I love the size, but truly wish I could operate my pump from a receiver versus my phone. I like being able to see the reservoir, but always see a very large air bubble in it the day after changing the infusion set. Generally, I prime the air bubble out, in turn, wasting insulin.
Libre 3 is not so accurate sometimes because I had more than once 40 of difference where the sensor tell me I am in hypo and I am not when I control on blood sugar so , i will start with Simplera and Medtronic 780G in January in Belgium will see the difference
Abbot customer service suggested applying a drop of baby oil into the small hole in the middle of the sensor, then applying some around the sensor as well to help dislodge the glue so the sensor would be easier to remove. (Likely any cooking oil would do the job too). Hope this helps!
dude, iPhone has shortcuts app...scanning is a breeze. There are also double and triple back taps, and now action button to launch app or shortcuts for what you want to do. Freestyle Libre 3 is the latest now which works great on scanning reliability
I hate eating food just makes me very depressed every time I have to do it this crap sucks i used to love this holiday that is coming up in November hate holidays now because that's when I feel the most alienated from everybody else
Can you explain in a video the difference between A1c and GMI that are always higher than the real A1c? Libre estimates a1c, dexcom gmi. And the difference is very high. Sims 2 different calculator, but shouldnt be the a1c the only one parameter to looking at? Thank you
I happily signed up for a subscription, but I could not get the first one to pair with my phone. Talked to the bot online, got a new one and it did not pair either. I am going to cancel my subscription. Very disappointed.
