If you get an implant opt for cubic zirconium instead of titanium. Maybe find a holistic “biological” dentist. Your body doesn’t like to have metal in it. It could cause health problems eventually, I’ve read.
I keep my dentures in a glass of water over night so they don’t eat me out of house and home while Iam asleep the walls of the glass makes it extremely difficult for them to get out
I have full dentures. They both kinda suck lol My tongue has NO CLUE what to do with my bottoms and I end up pushing the bottoms with my tongue all the time, causing the denture to shift and get uncomfortable. I've had them for roughly 3 weeks and every time a sore spot heals, another one pops up 😪
My top metal partial is scraping the back and the front part of my tongue and has made my tongue completely raw and I've only had it for a few days now and they said they could create it just 1more time... But they said the top partial come out looking the same.. I'm just curious if anyone else wants to talk partial if they're tongue feels completely raw and if they slur like a drunk all day long just like myself
It's not uncommon for new partials to cause some irritation initially, however, in your case an adjustment is necessary according to krissai. You can use dental wax in the meantime (can buy it at your local pharmacy). As for the speech difficulty that u r experiencing, it will improve as u eventually get used to it 😄
Hello, according to Kriss ai the Metal partial dentures are designed to fit securely and comfortably without damaging the enamel of our natural teeth. The metal clasps are typically made from biocompatible materials that are gentle on the teeth.

Thank You So Much For Your Honesty! Can't afford Bridges, Implants etc. So I'm looking into a removable partial denture so my existing teeth don't shift. Also, it's within my price range. Thanks again!👍
I’m only 29 and in 3 days I get full upper and lower dentures with 20 extractions wide awake with zero sedation aside from numbing shots and a anxiety pill.
Just remember if you don't get the top part of your teeth out of your gums on top and bottom your dentures will never fit right. My son has diabetes all his teeth broke off. My denist sent him to a real good dentist he had surgery in a hospital setting. That was day before Thanksgiving of 2023. He's going Friday March 22 this Friday to get his dentures. That's a good 2months for his gums to heal. Than 2 months for the dentures. Is 4th appointment when he get his dentures this Friday the 22nd of March.
My dentist wants to place permanent dentures in right after extractions. Everything I read says you should get temporary or immediate dentures first. What's your opinion on this?
As I have been in the Thermoplastics industry, there is a certain temp that each Plastic cannot withstand. You will be surprised how low it is. Also avoid extreme cold as that can also cause problems!
What idiot would use bleach. If you have common sense you know you put them in a container with warm water and a denture tablet. This video is absolutely ridiculous
I find it astounding that after all the years dentures have been around, and all the advancements made, that something hasn't been done to improve the bottom denture, aside from implants. They are probably the top complaint from denture wearers. I read that the bottom dentures are meant to "float above the gums". How can that possibly be a logical solution is beyond me, especially when the possibility of something better can be invented. Until then adhesive it is!
I just had this same tooth removed that was shown in your example. second from the back ( not including the wisdom tooth) on the bottom. A implant and bridge are not affordable for me , but a denture is. My question is will I be able to chew food without having to take the denture out. I am talking about hard to chew food like a steak.
