Great video . I agree Elvis needed a new set list. I still don't know why he rarely sang some of these songs in concert, 1) Kentucky Rain 2) Separate Ways 3) If I can Dream 4) Don't cry Daddy 5) In the Getto 6) Always on my mind .7) Long Black Limosine , just to name a few. Singing the Olivia Newton John songs was nice - but really didn't care for them like the ones i mentioned . If anyone knows the reason why - I'd love to hear it .
Hi Elvis the Man , always love your beautiful reactions to Elvis, He is to me just fun to watch him walk or talk with the band or the audience , he was always cutting up with his fans and fellow band members , I don't know where you live , just wanted to say that I appreciate All the love and support you give to Elvis and I would love to send you a couple of actual pictures of Elvis, not taken by me but All the same, since he left us I've sent so many True Elvis fans across the world these pics , One is a Priceless memory for me, a picture of Elvis in the passenger seat going through the gate of Graceland in 1970, so gorgeous and close up, given to me by a stranger right after Elvis left us and I was at a party and this beautiful girl made me smile and I had not been able to smile it was a special person who did it for me, she could see what the Pictures did for me and how broken hearted I was so she gave me a 5by 7 pic of Elvis and later the same year which I don't like to go through again I was lucky enough to get quiet a few pics of Elvis in concert here in Atlanta Ga by The Photographer Alverson who's first name has left me at the moment I have never asked for any money or postage cost and I know that my main man Elvis is proud of me for giving back , you can email me and I will send them to you I've been a long time reactor to your channel and I just appreciate you for the dedication to keeping the flame 🔥 alive and burning Brightly. Well, that's the first time I ever heard the urine part of the story. The 70s were a little wild and crazy. I know because I was in my 20s during that decade.
I'm with you on this one. I guess priscilla believed all the negative things going around about Elvis? Or maybe she was jealous because so many people loved and respected Elvis. And it seemed he was continuing to have a blast with his friends. He didn't come over to show HER the car. He wanted to see Lisa Marie. It seems there was bad blood between Priscilla and Lisa Marie even then. (JudyC)
I like this movie, too. There are parts that go a little over the top. But then there are parts that stop you dead in your tracks. I agree that Elvis looks very cool, sexy, and happy. I can imagine him playing like this with his pals as a boy and teen. Come to think of it, I dare say that in every Elvis movie there are moments when he blows it out of the water. Your videos have improved greatly, and I love the attention paid to researching the details for each episode. Keep up the good work. To Elvis, we remember you Elvis, and we love you...still. (JudyC)
Proves he was still intent on showing he can do it in 74. I wish he'd carried on this, he could play the guitar! Elvis was the real deal (and the man obviously!).
Like I been saying for years. There's films and pictures that are still in basements and attics that haven't been discovered yet by the grandchildren and great grandchildren. More to come. And thank you sir. You the man. Good night Graceland. Texas. Peace
Dave, fascinating video, never saw it before, thanks. I must disagree, however, with your take on Elvis at this point in his life. After "Aloha" in Jan. '73, Elvis life was in a long, steep decline. In Peter Guralnick's book, "Careless Love" the chapter rt after "Aloha" was titled "Freefall". I find the last 4.5 year's of the King's life to be heart-breaking, including his speech and appearance in this video (compare his appearance with the screenshot of him in '69).
Great video,My friend,I hope you can do more podcasts loike this and mabe focus on new stuff abouy Elvis and Vernons relationship thru the years and what put a strain on there relationship with more internal info rather then just that Vernon dated and married to early after Gladys passed,Thanks, your Pal,Keith *TCB
Lisa would invite certain people upstairs, but she's only had a slim few. The last one she took upstairs as far as I know is Austin Butler. He is a super lucky guy. Also, could you do a video about Chewy Thompson? They said he was allowed upstairs.....he is he? & why?.......is it true he was upstairs?
@@ElvisistheMan_ I hadn't either til this morning when a video popped up about him supposedly being Elvis grandson 🤣 and he was allowed upstairs and there was security around him....blah blah blah lol .......I thought you'd find this amusing 😊
This is interesting as for years i've had a cd called 'Across the country' by Elvis, and can't remember which volume it is (1 or 2) but this 'actual' performance of 'That's alright mama' is given a date on the sleeve in late 1976 ... not October 1974!😀
Since I've been listening to Elvis, today's pop music isn't appealing to me. That's great footage in a brilliant compilation again. Thanks for sharing. ✌️👑👼❤️🫶🌞
