Long Story Short with Dr. Been - one of the internet's most experienced and popular medical educators - explores emerging topics and research regarding long COVID and other pandemic-related issues. These lectures are done in Dr. Been's signature engaging style, and utilize his own uniquely detailed artwork to help convey complex subject matter in a way that is easy to digest and absorb. Created for both the medical practitioner and the inquisitive lay person alike, this series highlights key issues surrounding Long (COVID) and other matters related to the pandemic.
A medical doctor and software engineer, Dr. Mobeen Syed (known to his fans as Dr. Been) has been teaching medicine since 1994. He founded DrBeen.com offering personalized medical education online. Dr. Been has collaborated with the FLCCC Alliance to create the I-RECOVER protocol to treat long COVID. This series is an extension of that collaboration.
dosing info is really unclear given the fact it comes in a 1% solution or 100% powder. A dozen MB dosage video's into my research and I still have no clue if the dosage every seems to agree on is based on the 1% or 100% purity.
Dr. Been, doesn't melatonin produced in the mitochondria, which you didn't mention, restore a perturbed mitochondrial chain function as well as return mitochondria to healthy control levels, eliminating the need for MB? NIR light therapy increases mitochondrial melatonin production and this NIR can be gotten from earlier morning and later afternoon exposure to sunlight. Mitochondria produce melatonin internally to maintain redox homeostasis and also have the ability to draw external melatonin into the mitochondria if needed. Melatonin also acts as a potent antioxidant and anti inflammatory agent that protects complex 1 and 4 and can further stimulate areas of the bodies own antioxidant system nullifying the need for MB.
Thank you Dr Been. I started taking MB to ensure cognitive health. My sister has been on SSRI’s for over 30 years. She also has stage 3 kidney disease (for over 9 years with no improvement) caused by other meds she had been on. She got off her SSRI and started MB, 10 mg a day. She never felt better. Her doc was worried and made her get a blood test to see how her kidneys were dealing with MB. He was shocked to see her score improved 10 points after being on MB for only 1 month.
Dear Dr I do appreciate your detailed discussion regarding Berberine benefits for Blood sugar control Kindly advise which company Berberine is best in terms of blood sugar control and least side effects Regards
What are your thoughts on Methylene Blue and Pulmonary Hypertension. A few study authors reviewing MB have expressed concern on its inhibitory action on Nitric Oxide, potentially worsening the PH. Considering a good amount of long covid patients have PH, would MB be contraindicated? "Among 50 post-COVID-19 patients, 30% of patients had normal pulmonary artery pressure, 30% had pulmonary hypertension with PaO2 ≥ 60 mmHg, and 40% had PH and RVD with PaO2 < 60 mmHg"
does NK have any interaction with LPa on apoB LDL which has plasminogen like Kringle repeats ? I have tried to take 4000FU NK for a few days, but having pain like angina. I also have LPa level of 486nmol/L with high LDL 255. I am going to try taking again just a couple times a week instead of daily. I eat soybeans so I don't think its an allergic rx. I also tried eating natto and no allergy just couldn't get used to the taste.
Most of the dosage information out there is for clinical treatment by a physician. This is under their care and supervision. What most people do at home is a bottle of 1% drops from Amazon. In this case a low dose is recommended. This is why you take drops. Starting with 1 or 2 each day. Two separate times of day is often recommended. It is also recommended to cycle on and off of it. The maximum number of drops per day can’t really be defined for everyone. It seems minimal equals maximum as far as therapeutic use. Guessing, stay below half the clinically recommended dose used by doctors.
Dr. Is there a way to create a symbiotic relationship between MB and Nitric Oxide? I have read many articles on each but seems some articles speak badly of NO. Yet, I can see the value NO brings to vasodialation. Can I create the same effects Nitric Oxide offers, by just setting a prescribed amount, frequency and dosage of MB to accomplish the same? I read many articles on the benefits of NO, as well as MB. But occasionally, Dr's speak adversely about NO. Can I get your input? Thank you.
Excellent presentation. I have read (not in peer-reviewed source) that there is a negative interaction between methylene blue an nitric oxide. Comments?
Thanks this video has increased my understanding of the biochemistry involved in the electron transport chain. This is an excellent thing as I am experimenting with low-dose mythalene blue for my own health enhancement. But more importantly, I eventually wish to get my wife to start using it as she has early onset dementia at 60 years of age.
What dosage of ivermectin should someone use? Also what dose of berberine should one use? I have searched for the best ivermectin dosages for inflammation but can’t find anything since the who doesn’t recommend it for swelling (arthritis).
I have had a interest in PBM and been using for least 4 years. Have cfs for 30 years and research on the Krebs cycle and interest in energy by mitochondria. Thanks so much for this presentation been waiting long time for it. I take Panax gensing and other supliments that are studied and research proves they increase energy.
So what blood test should one get if on Natto and what are satisfactory results to look for. I'm taking 6000 FU daily but the only test I look for is the Fibrinogen one which is 285. No sure if that enough to stop DVT or not. should I get a Dimer test and if so what is a good result?
Thank you so much for your videos. I love them because they discuss mechanisms. I have one concern, at 21:14 in this video you state that the berberine inhibits the electron transport chain and thus reduces the effectiveness of the mitochondria. Did I understand that correctly? How can that be good for us aging people that are always fighting diminished mitochondria effectiveness? One of the side effects that I have seen reported and may have experienced myself is muscle aches. Could that be due to loss of mitochondria effectiveness?
Read somewhere online that if you mix the MB w/ sodium ascorbate and stir, its not so blue. I have some fake teeth in front and did not want to have blue man teeth. And it did make the liquid clear. I noticed some mental clarity that I had been missing within the hour. That was with one drop of mb. This was a very good video. Thank you
Question: does it also reduce effect or just the color? I take very high amounts of Vitamin C and haven’t had a cold, flu or any type pulmonary issues in years. Thanks
