My nickname is Tripod, 1 leg + 2 crutches = Tripod! Welcome to my garage where I fix, create, and vlog! My right leg was amputated above the knee when I was 15 because of cancer (osteosarcoma), and I have been on crutches for over 30yrs. I always try to tackle everything on my own, and not having my disability slow me down! With this channel I hope to inspire people whether they are disabled or not. If a guy with one leg can do it? As my wife and kids tell me, “it seems that you know a little about almost everything!” Because I enjoy researching and doing things on my own. This includes • Fixing and modifying • Building • Inventing • Unboxing and Reviewing • Experimenting • DIY • Tinkering You will see content about my struggles, having one leg does have its challenges. However, you will see how I have adapted to get things done in sometimes a unique way 😉 www.aliveandkickn.org/podcast/episode/36aa3bf0/aliveandkickn-podcast-john-ivener Thanks -Tripod
I was a loyal Traeger+ user for years, but after switching to Asmoke, I have to say the difference is clear. The precise temperature control that Asmoke offers is just amazing. The dual sensors and the new PID algorithm ensure temperature control within 5°F which makes grilling so much easier. Additionally, the portability of this grill with its lightweight, compact design is a game changer. I can now enjoy grilling on my camping trips without any hassle. I also appreciate the eco-friendly aspect of the wood pellets used as a fuel source, and the variety of flavors available add an extra layer of deliciousness to my grilling. Grilling has never been more enjoyable and efficient. I am so glad I made the switch to Asmoke. #Asmoke
The preloaded lead nuts are used improper, the sprung load should be forcing down with gravity. Instead they have the springs on the bottom pushing up, so the weight of the bed is resting on the springs instead of resting on the screw with the springs giving extra help driving the bed weight to the screw. Unfortunately I have seen all China printers using these in this manner and it is wrong. This may be the reason the mesh bed is so bad looking as constant up and down could pose the variability, but being high in the middle could be do to trapping the corners and heating it up do to thermal expansion. But what do I know I only designed AM for NASA, SPACE X, and BLUE ORIGIN!
John, good review! I'm amazed how much resin printer prices have dropped and the quality seems to have gone up. I sill don't have a need for them, and am very concerned about using resin, but do appreciate the information.
Many thanks! Yes, you get a lot for your money now! I am still not a fan of the resin workflow, and the smell. However, you cannot beat the quality of the prints!
I bought this for my CR-10 Max and the fan shroud seems to have a special left hand mounting which won't let me install any of the recommended CR-Touch brackets STL's to print out... I am feelings a bit clueless, also for the filament sensor, no help in instructions for that...
Based on the other reviews I've seen, I agree that your unit was probably defective. I'm glad Elegoo is eager to replace it. One thing I wanted to remark on is that I would avoid inverting the build plate to keep any resin drippings from contacting the upper part of the the mechanism. Thanks for the review!
If I didn't have such a positive experience with the Mars 5 big brother the Saturn 4 Ultra. Plus resin machines are Elegoo's bread and butter. If I didn't take that into account, I might have had a different opinion. Thanks for your suggestion about inverting the build plate. I am still very new to resin printing.
Thanks for providing the STL! Now you known the challenges I was facing getting these to print. Glad they held mostly together. See you guys at Printopia! I just booked my Silver booth, and should have some extra room!
@@offsetmakerlab7514 @therealsamprentice got his Silver for free, because he is special. Us common folk have to pay 😀. I did request to be next to him, so there should be room for your crew, especially if The Edge of Desk doesn't use his table
I would use riser to do panels for my granddaughters treehouse if your giveaway is still going on. I have the S1 but need riser base to do deeper jobs. I have conveyer but need more room to use.
Unless you know whats under the blacktop no body can say whats going to need to be done i think the crew did good your blacktop failed because the base was crap now you got good base with 3 inch of blacktop it should last your lifetime
Hey! I was trying to dee your PMAG settings but for some reason my phone shows it really grainy. Could you share your settings? Id like to make my marine husband something haha😊
I was smacking my rotors for like 3 hours,so glad I found your video. I used a small bolt and nut initially and broke it and was stucked in there so I end up cutting it with a hack saw. I then used the bigger bolt and nut 12 mm and it came out easy. Thanks a lot and a new subscriber to your channel 👌
If something goes wrong don’t expect help from Ikier. The manuals are written by someone that doesn’t know what they’re talking about. They’ll string the conversation out till you have exceeded your frustration level. Then blame another department for failure to honor the Ikier warranty.😫
I think you ripped them off. You probably paid a cheap price had all that equipment out there and men power as well. They put you two different types of stone and used a paving machine on that small driveway. You watched them and took videos of the job. And then you put a video up asking if you got ripped off. It’s hot rocks oil and sand. That’s all asphalt is. What did u expect Driveway is probably the cheapest thing you could do to your house. $5-7 k for a 15 year investment that gets drove on multiple times a day from cars and trucks that weigh between 4-7000 pounds. Driveway sits out in the rain , cold , heat , frost , snow. Etc. people change their oil on it birds and pets pee or crap on it car drips gas and oil on it. What do people expect that’s less than 1 dollar a day over 15 years. You spend more than that on coffee every morning
Oh! The customer ripped off the company 😂. I watched them, cry even more. Amazing how people forget that when jobs are filmed there is someone behind that camera. The videos I have seen almost every camera person is up close and personal. Yet, I was stationary either using a camera under timelapse, or me sitting and piloting a drone. Yet, you people watch videos of people working, hypocrisy at its finest. Then people say it was a good job, and are quoting today’s numbers vs numbers before all this inflation. While saying they did a good job, while missing all the places around the skirt and sidewalk where they didn’t even lay any stone. If it is just hot rocks and sand, then it is overpriced. Plenty of people that are too busy being armchair warriors, then to actually assess the job. There isn’t one company in our area that doesn’t use a pavement machine. They all use them for residential driveways. As stated in the video, this company agreed to being filmed, and knew it was going to be posted on RU-vid. I don’t buy coffee, nice stereotype.
See that 7.20 mark - I dont like the design of the plate - the way resin is in the gap of the plate and you are bound to drop it some time. Why could they not have covered that gap and put a wing on it to hold it more securly. Its really put me off this machine.
Same here. Tried other settings last night and didn't get close to what the F1 can do. Come home and loaded in the settings he used and nothing. I'm going to waste a mag and run some test grids, but I would have thought it would have gotten at least a starting point. Have you figured out any settings that do work?
Hi i have this printer but it's impossible print with cura a lots of problems please anyone can help me to manage it ?? normally i hav an ender 3 and a Flsun q5 and no problems with those printers but this one .... orrible , problems , problems , problems !!! please help meeeee !!!!
I do this with bolts both bracket holes at the same time and I seldom have to turn the rotor to break it fully free. My issue is my bolts mar so it’s hard to put the nuts on them to reuse. I guess I’ll have to look for harder ones.
Hello. I bring planning for driveways, SO one'd have a clear, good looking, planned shape for the asphalt, concrete, bricks or whatever material a customer would prefer. So a plan is first produced. (Where you're able to see the output driveway before hand, specifying all the dimensions aspects for a driveway. God give gift people. Here to stay
Thank You Very much for this info. I have been beating on a rotor for 30 minutes straight with a 5 lbs. hammer and did not move. Tried your nut and bolt trick. Less then 1 minute it was off. Took longer to find the nut and bolt... Nut and bolt now has been add to the tool box. You are the man!
So happy that I can help! I know the frustration, as I have been there before. Such an easy trick, my nut and bolt has its special spot next the the 10mm! Thanks for watching and commenting.
It seems like they rushed all of their neptune 4 printers to market, expecting the users to fix all of the issues. You are just buying hardware at this point. Can it actually give you reliable prints? Who knows!
Defiantly seems that it wasn't fully tested before the release. Just too many issues, and it shouldn't be the customer that fixes any of these issues. Should just work out of the box as advertised. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Bought this printer last fall and got it all set up except the input shaping and external screen. soon I’ll have those done too thanks to your helpful video., appreciate your efforts!
Well with more power you can actually process jobs fast. Say a job would normally take a couple of passed, now might take only one. Or you can use more power, and have the laser move faster to complete the job faster. Of course there is the cutting, it can cut thicker material more efficiently. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Many thanks! As you can see in the comments section, it is pretty equal for the support of this machine, vs the issues people are having. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I would be highly embarrassed sitting there watching men working saying that I didn't see anything wrong with the whole job pretty good job and surprised to see them using a paving machine for such a small area that's a lot of extra cost to haul them machines around you would not get that job done today for 4300 it would cost more like 7000
I am videographer “sitting there piloting the drone”, and the wife is doubling checking the flight. Yet, absolutely nobody has an issue a camera person getting up close and personal in all the other videos 🤨. Amazing how people don’t realize there is people behind those cameras interfering with the job. They used almost zero base by the sidewalk on the upper side. Along with very little base on the skirt, which causes the driveway and the skirt to heave almost 3/4in during the winters. There are only a few professionals that actually have caught that in the video. Unfortunately most are to triggered by a one legged drone pilot sitting in a chair, and not paying attention to the actual job itself. My brother has about double the sq footage and it cost about $7,300, that was the same year that mine was done, different company. Yeah, everything is basically double the price than what it was 3 or 4 years ago.
Not my file as mentioned in the video. Guess you never heard of a contraction? Let’s is a contraction of let us. But what do I know, I just picked the file to engrave 🤨
