Thank you brother for this guide 😊 , dehradun side me ev car ko charge krne koi problem toh nahi hoti ? Like low voltage ki wajah se ghar pe charge na kar paye ?
How do you analyse the efficiency of the regeneration in TATA Nexon EV Max. Where do you stay in Dehradun? Will love to meet up with you in my next visit to Dehradun
Hi Rahul, do you see a scenario where in another 5 years there will be so many EVs on the road that at highway charging stations we may have to wait for several hours for our turn.
That is a good observation and I agree with it, we have seen it happen in US especially in California. My main concern is reliability of charging stations. Other than statiq, most charging stations in India have poor reliability including that of Tata. Hopefully we get good players invest into charging.
Not really, it is only when you do it over a course of time, then you will feel the effects of it. One in a while on a road trip doesn't matter. But make sure once you come back from road trip, charge your car to 100% on home charger. That balances the cells in the battery pack :)
Bhai I daily travel 150KM in mumbai and I am planning to buy nexon EV LR variant which has 350KM range so naturally I will be charging till 100% daily for precautions and safety of my travel so is it recommended to daily charge till 100% or should I travel straight 2 days and then charge till 100% also which charger type should I go with 3.3 or 7.2 please advice for better battery life management. Currently I use swift and planning to buy nexon ev.
Bhai real world range will vary, you won't get full 350 no matter what company says. Also if you charge to 100% it will degrade the battery very quickly. If you plan to keep the car for long term then thats not good financially. So everyday charging should be limited to 80%, if you can top up at work then thats great. That way you will have enough range. Always buy 7.2, the wall charger is crucial to charge your car quickly, that way you are not waiting long hours for charging to complete. Also later on its a pain to buy 7.2 charger because its never in stock. Hope it helps :)
Honestly no, charging infrastructure is really bad in mountains plus you will be losing more range as its all hilly area. Not worth it to drive that far.
Thanks brother, amazing work. I am saving more money so that I can buy and ev next year instead of buying an ICE car this year. I hope it's worth the wait
Never trust Google Maps when it comes to mountain roads. Google usually suggests the most popular route as it's No.1 choice and it's safe to follow that route. But alternative routes shown are often a gamble. Don't take the chance unless a local confirms that the alternate road is in good condition. I have been fooled many times while driving on mountain roads. Just last month, I followed an alternate route to a village which was in horrible condition and eventually led to a dead end as the road narrowed so much in the end that you could only walk on it. So I had to backtrack all the way and drive in total darkness to reach our destination as we lost a lot of time.
Your display says battery is 99% which will give you 222 kms. That's way lesser than 300-350 range I have been hearing all this time! Is there a problem with your battery?
During all this time driving Nexon EV did you feel that stock headlights are a little weak in delivering the throw over the normal city lanes? Low beam only.
