You could go for what looks like a safe jump but actually it's done so early that they're already blocking by the time the shoryu comes out Your jumping kick would not connect if they don't shoryu but it could fake them into thinking you believe safe jumps work on ken allowing you to hopefully punish if they do shoryu on wakeup
No backwards kara moves :/ some moves can move the character backwards and it'll let you hit some combos since it moves a larger distance than walking back in the same amount of frames. Pretty sure this was the case for one of makotos combos that HK did minimal movement first frames i think it was in SF4 but i might remember this wrong anyways backwards kara is funny :D
you forgot to say that throws deal a whopping 25% damage in just one... throw, lol not to mention when played against CPU, opponent has increased damage
Holy cheesecake, ya damn right! I did a research about how to select your partner and I made an example of using Colossus: hold start, hold LP, MP and MK. You are a genius!!!
Zangief is the easy guy to beat and you beat him with a pattern. Which is go all the way to corner of the screen as he approaches jump then big heavy kick jump hvkick jump hvykick. You don't have to fight him just do that pattern.
Oh, the irony. This was my game, and I played Dan. And I used to clean house with Dan and completely embarrass people. It is true Dan has limitations and was a joke character made to mock SNK. BUT - Dan CAN win you tournaments. The issue is thinking of him as a "lesser" shoto - you CAN'T play him like a traditional shoto. In that game, Dan was the only one with infinite taunts. The way you win with Dan is using very simple combos and being very patient, while trying to wear down your opponent's patience. In matches, I would make LIBERAL use of the taunt button - if there was a jump where I was not at risk for an attack, I was taunting. You can't underestimate the human element - it gets under people's skin. But if you are a serious SFA2 Dan player, realize you are playing a joke character, so you can't play him seriously. You use everything at your disposal. I can't tell you how many people back in the day laughed the second I picked Dan, only to see those laughs turn into howls of anger as a guy in a pink karate gi ends up chipping them into a long slow death while mocking them with taunts the entire match. THAT is how a Dan master plays Dan....
One very simple solution would be that whoever got the first hit in that round with a dko would win the match since it would be fair and rewards those who take the initiative, so exploiting a dko to keep playing wouldn't work anymore
So let me get this straight; you telling me, beside the cheat code to get the secret (palette swap) characters, there's also code to select the assist characters this whole time?!
