This is going to sound so nitpicky, so apologies firstly for that, but these videos are so great aside from the pronunciation of grape varieties and the German wine regions. I think a brief bit of practice on that front would really improve the immersiveness of the videos overall.
Loved the descriptors on this and looks to be about a $40 bottle in the US - going to see if I can track down a couple so I can drink one and age one. Really happy this series is back.
Why did y’all put “German wines” in the beginning. Ruins half the fun which is me guessing along with the somm :( Besides that, good video. Have missed this series tremendously
So sensitive. Great recall skills too! One of the best tasters ever! Love your depth and appreciation! Thank you so much! Beautiful. So many really great wines lately, more and harder to predict.
Damn, I was sitting here like oh cool she's describing a lot of characteristics of chenin blanc and then she didn't get there. I'm sure blind tasting is really tough.
I feel like a good barometer for how much of a true master someone is in this profession is by their reaction when they get it wrong. In my eyes, the true masters are always deeply excited to be surprised by something and learn something new/refine their skills, whereas the amateurs make excuses. This series is great!
wouldn't it be missleading to say theres all this stuff in the taste of wine given its mades of grapes? how can they legally claim it tastes like cherries and tobacco when there are regulations set to say its made of grapes. lol.
