Please do a video of the quaint town of Peñuelas. There is so much history and it is too often passed by from content creators. Peñuelas is a very unique hidden gem with so much history of artists, poets, writers, sports figures etc. Also its known as the Capital del Guiro and it also is a hub for the manufacturing of the Cuatro instrument which is a major component of our Musica Tipica de los Puertoriqueños. So i how and pray you can one day soon make this video. It would be massively appreciated.
I am so sorry to hear about everything the people in Vieques had to endure. My heart goes out to them. When visiting the island if I plan to spend a day there, do you recommend that I do a car rental? If so, are there any agencies you recommend on the island? Do you happen to have a ball park for the pricing as well?
Alcapurias are the best food ever!!! I’m going with my boyfriend and it’s his first time in PR. I have been several times since my family lives out there but I’m going to San Juan and I just know I’m not finding a cuchifrito around there
The roasted pork, probably one of the best in the world, in authentic places, where it can be slow cooked in a rotisserie traditional method, for about 8 hours.
Bacalaítos are *super* easy to make, compared to alcapurrias. The "masa" to make alcapurrias is pretty troublesome and time consuming to make; same goes for pasteles.
We deeply sympathize with the hardships experienced by the people of Puerto Rico, as we Chinese have also endured similar historical tragedies and suffered from the brutalities of Japanese aggressors. Given the opportunity, I will definitely visit Vieques. LOVE FROM CHINA🇨🇳
Why don’t you mention Ponce and other beautiful cities and towns that people would like to visit. You only mention the city of San Juan. You must be from SJ
Thank you! I had to cover both good and bad just to set some expectations for people who might not know anything about Puerto Rico. I try to be as real as I can but also highlight all the amazing things about Puerto Rico. Thank you for the feedback, though! And thank you for watching my videos! 😊🙏🏼🇵🇷
Agreed. The people who live there face many challenges, including cost of living. Hoping it gets easier for everyone somehow, because it’s such a special place. Thanks again for commenting! 🙏🏼
My heart will always be in vieques. Maria did me a number. I’ve been all over that island. I noticed you didn’t touch on secret beach. Many more beautiful beaches that only locals know. I lived there for sometime and im so homesick. Great video
I’m glad that my video helped you reconnect to Vieques. I hope you’ll be able to visit the island again soon. 🙏🏼 Definitely left out a couple of places that we didn’t have time to visit and things to do. Hopefully we get to go back soon because we fell in love with it as well. Thanks for commenting and for watching my videos! ☺️🙏🏼🇵🇷
We honestly didn’t eat at the hotel apart from eating at Palomino. The prices there were surprisingly moderate considering that it’s the only place to eat at the island. We were pretty surprised. You can find the menus to El Conquistador’s restaurants online so you can get an idea of how much you spend. Regardless, it’s a good idea to include those prices in the next video, thank you for the suggestion! And thank you for watching my videos! 😄🙏🏼🇵🇷
Actually you don’t need a real ID driver’s license to go to Puerto Rico. You’ll only need one beginning may 7, 2025. The Puerto Rico government is spending millions of dollars to let people know about that. Whatever your immigration situation is, if you have a REGULAR driver’s license, you’re good. I work at an immigration law office and I know many many people in different immigration situations that went there and it was all good. Another note is that a Puerto Rican friend told me that USCIS officials oftentimes would ask for your passport because they don’t even know that it’s not a requirement. You just tell them that Puerto Rico is a US territory and you’re good to go.
Thank you so much!! The drone has been one of the best investments I’ve made to improve the quality of my videos, so I’m glad you appreciate the drone shots! Thank you for commenting and the support! 😄🙏🏼🇵🇷
Liquillo Beach Beach is considered to be one of the best beaches in Puerto Rico. Then there's Crash Boat Beach and Combate Beach in Cabo Rojo. Also there's Aguadilla Beach in Aguadilla. You can visit the beaches in Arecibo where there was the biggest Radio Telescope. You can even go horseback riding. You will see people riding on horseback in the streets of Puerto Rico especially on the highways.
So glad I found this video when planning my trip. Followed the recommendations and it was amazing how spot on the video was. Save yourself the tour guide money and follow this guy!
