Hi Eelke - I know you don’t read these comments often but am leaving this one anyway. This is my all time favourite cover of yours -- everything about it is sublime, including your beautiful dutch accent when you say ‘caps’ instead of ‘cabs’ 😁❤️. I hope you are well and happy, and still making music. Huge hugs from the UK 🎉
Hi! I always read them eventually, and it's especially nice when they're as kind as this one :) I also just saw your other comment about Flower Souls from a little while back. Thanks so much. I am currently working on the release of my new album which should be out early next year with singles coming this fall if all goes as planned. I'm sure I'll upload some things here on RU-vid when the time comes but feel free to follow my insta as well, it's easier to post regular uploads there. Much love back to you from The Netherlands!
Hi Elkee, I saved all this ages ago to my ‘watch later’ playlist. Now I’ve found it again, can’t stop playing it. Your song Soul Flowers is so beautiful❤❤❤ . Love from the UK xxx
@@eelkemusic mate I have been following guitar RU-vid tutorials for years, it’s how I learn everything, and honestly this was so good I assumed you had a channel with hundreds of videos somewhere. Thanks for the lesson
Thanks! I'm mainly a musician releasing my own music, but during the lockdowns I did some covers and this one in particular was pretty popular. That's why I decided to make a tutorial for it :) I'll definitely consider doing some more of this type of stuff though as it's nice to hear it's helping people out.
That's good to hear. I've been busy this past year moving to Amsterdam and finishing my new album. I think I'll have time to start posting some more videos soon :)
The intro/riff part is all Bm Verses are - Bm - Bm - C - G Em - Chorus is - Bm - Asus4 - G - G - (and occasionally ending on a Em7/9) These are the chords for the original version. This acoustic version is a whole tone higher. Same chords but as you can see with a capo on the 2nd fret :) Hope this is clear enough. Any questions, let me know!
@@eelkemusic wow, thanks! I sat down to study that chords last night. So far, it's working really well. Not nearly as good as yours, but at least something. ☺️ I've been listening to you for a few weeks now, almost daily. You have a very emotional nature when you sing. I think tutorial videos of your songs would be well received. Keep up the good work! The world needs authentic musicians 🎸🎵
Thank you. Really nice to hear you're enjoying my music. I've just finished recording an album. Will be a little while before it's gonna be released but I'm sure I'll post something on here when it's coming :) Thanks again!
I’m learning this so I can play it for my girlfriend, she loves this song it’s one of her favorites and I want to try to sing it also. Wish me luck boys
Can the dark side light my way out? Yeah Lay your hand across my face, yeah Time we lost, that's all my fault Please don't be long 'Cause I want your love I don't have love Without your arm Life is too short But I will live for you How did this fit in your story? Yeah Why'd you let them judge your body? Yeah I'll be waitin' there outside, yeah Please don't be long 'Cause I want your arms I don't have fun Without your love Life is too short But I will live for you You're backin' off But I will live for you, my selfless love Bite my tongue, I wait my turn I waited for a century Waste my breath, no lessons learned I turn and face the enemy I'm not scared, just don't care I'm not listenin', you hear? He's never there, I don't care I can't tell you what and where Yeah Yeah
