1 how can the 3 image hdr be merged, the water is moving 2 same problem, how can the pano stitched when the water and maybe the sky moving between shots??
Of course for people with F glass it makes sense for direct mount shooting without adapters. The camera is jack of trade master of non but that’s what makes this camera so special. Sure today mirrorless has clear advantages…but for out door shooting dslr view is still the best. This camera has everything you need, it has better low light image quality than D850 and also even better dynamic range. The ergonomics feels amazing in the hands and body feels solid and reasonable weight. It’s too bad this camera didn’t come out 2 years sooner it would have gotten much more attention.
The inspector is very biased in all he has said , his bias is because he is the police . We have more rights to film in public than he has expressed, and no we do not have to stop or talk when asked to do so , or comply with police instructions. This of course is if we are an innocent photographer.
I’m not a photographer nor a vlogger but I’ve seen this come up time and again when people are taking photos or filming in public and they get utterly bizarre responses from businessses, security and police, made even more bizarre since Brexit and the issue of GDPR - it’s clear that this is a very serious issue, even as some have claimed that people need a licence or permit to film in public and that the only ones who have the (exclusive) right to film or take photos in public are businesses “on private land” and police with CCTV and body worn cameras with facial recognition technology - there is a real concern that, even though GDPR has never been tested nor challenged in the U.K. courts since Brexit, that the U.K. Parliament is planning to pass laws banning all private photography and filming regardless of licensing and permits by private citizens for private purposes in a public place, because of pressure brought to bear by private businessses, big corporations and the police
The ‘Official Secrets Act 1989’ is a joke. Does this government realise just how many people have taken photographs of military installations, aircraft and ships in the U.K. since 1989? Hundreds of thousands if not more. I don’t see how this act will stop anyone. But of course it does mean there are thousands of people out there who probably should be fined and/or in jail for committing this offence?
Just how many idiots are there that really think you need to get permission to take pictures from a public space? ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO TAKE SELFIES… YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED TO DO IT UNLESS YOU GET PERMISSION?
I've been toying with the idea of going full frame after cutting my teeth on an APS-C Nikon D5200 and I didn't want to go mirrorless, after watching your review I'm sold on the D780, I know it's been out a few years now but it still seems a solid good camera.
How ironic, there are signs outside of Thrope Wood police station in Peterborough where Inspector Malcolm Graham is being interviewed saying, "No filming or photography allowed without prior written permission".
I am just learning for past few month, but I already found very useful thing. If I made a picture of someone with a purpose, I am approaching that person and explaining that I took a picture and showing it, to check if they are happy with this. Sometimes I am asking if they would be kind to allow me take a picture of them. Same if I am shooting someone's dog. Just be sensitive and use common sense.
Hi Louise, long time ago you enthused me to get into photography, and it's been great. But where are you now? Do you still do videos anywhere, I found them the most inspiring of all, and I have watched quite a few lol. Whatever, I hope you are well, Rod :)
Thank you for this information. When using international platforms like youtube, i'm a little unclear of the laws. What is the case if you are livestreaming or filming people in public, with the purpose of monetization later on an international /US platform like youtube? is permission from people in the video needed for these platforms? I assume the people can also claim some of the profits if they are a main subject in the video? and could these videos be removed or location restricted if you haven't got a release forms from people in the video.
Thank goodness Inspector Malcolm Graham spoke sense ... especially when compared to one of the photographers who was giving incorrect information. Thank you, sir.

@@micksmixxx Absolutely not, thanks for asking for my advice. The irony of this inspector saying this in the video and then putting signs on the outside of the building saying you cannot film without written permission is absolutely ridiculous.
THIS does make sense about filming as everyone films something with their mobiles they never ask you can i film ? Every day there are pictures on Facebook, Twitter, etc. People use cameras in towns, cities, countryside who stops them, and who do you ask ?
There is no law that states; you can't take photos (either static or moving image) on PUBLIC land, however there are certain places which other laws would prevent you... Some examples include... The Children's Act for example would prevent you at schools and similar places, or if children are involved. The Official Secrets Act would prevent you at government, MoD and other establishments (this may include Police stations). The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) might prevent you from taking pictures (static or moving) containing any personal information. Whilst there may not be a law on photos on PUBLIC land; you don't need a law for using a bit of common sense, for some of the Muppets featured in this video saying "You need permission to film here"... sadly common sense was not tried. Furthermore; if you are stopped from filming on PUBLIC land on 2 or more occasions by the same person/group/company/venue, this could actually be deemed as Harassment... under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. See more: www.legislation.gov.uk or www.ico.org.uk. On PRIVATE land; you would need to seek permission from the land owner, for being on their land and filming or taking photos on it.
How is it exactly on private land in UK? In my country I can photograph also on private land if I don't violate privacy. I can be kicked out for it - but generally I can for anything (and I can still take photos on my way out). And of course I do not need to delete any photos taken on private land. Publication is other thing because of privacy and IP.
If you really want the perfect lens for this, look into the old Nikon Macro 85mm tilt shift lens. I own it and it is phenomenal. I haven't done any toy photography yet, but I'm thinking about giving it a go and I think that lens is perfect for this.
"I would suggest that you still comply" ignoring the fact that not only is there no requirement for you to do so and the person asking you has no powers to do so. How about NO?
I was repeatedly screamed at yesterday in the park by a woman who thought I was taking her picture. (I wasn't even aimed in her direction.) She screamed for security, said I was trying to sex-traffic her and threatened to call the police. It's discouraging.
"In this day and age". Sick of hearing that. Terrorism was rife in the 70s, 80s and 90s with the IRA and others but we weren't all paranoid about photographers. Everyone's been brainwashed to be scared, you could say the terrorists have won. Of course, it's all about keeping us in fear and controlled.
Oh dear, 'in this day and age' copslaining that is blatantly trying to attach criminalised language to things that are perfectly legal. Because you might 'be approached'. Threats of arrest associated with the pictures you took and rubbish about the terrorism act too. They can only search you with grounds but do so without regularly. This video is useless for understanding the application of the law and there are hundreds of hours of ignorant police officers online already so this pointless threat and terrorism talk is a disgrace. The reason 44 was repealed (not that its no longer enforced because it still is illegally) was because it was abused. Now 43 is abused. Lot of rubbish copslaining. If the security guards in your film called the police to get rid of you they would try. If you were near a police station they'd likely detain and search you or identify you and record your name under 'suspicious male'. Try watching a Focus Pocus video for a dose of reality.
I remember ths i went nuts and dwcided.
