Also if you're old enough to have gotten those original Kenner toys if you got the Droid Factory kit it happened to have a center leg for an Astromech droid it was too long to fit into either of the figures you can buy like are two or R5 but if you cut the top of it off it fit perfectly so you could have a three-legged Droid😊
Before you go chopping anymore parts to your droid factory set…I want you to know lots of places make 3D printed shorter 3rd legs to fit the standard figures
I was around when kenner figures first came out. My Death Star Droid- (Ra7?) was shinier than shiny, so was C-3PO. They didn't have a clue about R2's head, though his torso sticker was printed perfectly as far as I remember. R5 D4's torso was really good, including red doors front and back, no blue included, where it was supposed to go.... His legs, if I remember right we're not blue, I'm almost certain they were just plain white up and down and his three main eyes were red for some reason but the top of his head looked good the shape of his head was all right it was my favorite over R2-D2 I always had R5- which for some reason in the back of my head I always called him our for D4 which is wrong I guess- going out and doing missions I thought R2 and 3PO we're supposed to be together almost all the time. I couldn't ever successfully pair up my silver Droid with my red Astromech as a pair, they didn't seem to work. I don't know why, I probably wasn't mature enough to come up with personalities for each😂 I was 5 in 1977

I did the same math in the Facebook TVC group concerning price comparisons with Hole in the Ground Productions (no shade on him intended whatsoever, I love his stuff, and his speeders will be parked outside my Haslab bar when I get it). It is crazy to me that so many people are out there saying they should just be getting the other options available instead of backing this project. I mean, the Haslab is way cheaper if you match its price with what else is available. Then, there is the shipping on the heavy resin vs the Haslab lightweight plastic. Thanks for spelling it all out for the people, Bert. Hope it gets fully backed.
I had been eying all that stuff on Hole in the Ground pro for years! I’m glad that Hasbro is starting to recognize how much demand there is for that sort of stuff, but I wish the Cantina was selling in bigger numbers. I’ve spent hours exploring the stuff on HITGP I could use about 12 of those energizer boxes alone, some of those octagonal imperial computer terminals- the list goes on and on. But yeah, basically it’s cheaper and easier if Hasbro makes it.

I have a sense they are not going to get it funded. There is only 8 days left and they're about 1,500 short to say nothing of meeting stretch goals. If they extend it to 45 days like they should of it might get backed
I agree…it’s looking pretty dire! I can’t believe it’s still so far from backing in the first place! I think they should stop doing tiers…they’re supposed to bring excitement, but all they do is create trepidation…the number of people I’ve heard say,”I’d back it if we were guaranteed 6 figures!”
@@noskillcustomsIt will back. its already doing better than 2 other haslabs that were equally as slow at this same stage but they met their stretch goals. Ive just backed 3 deluxe sets and i only collect black series I will keep one and this can be my dip into vintage.
Don’t get me wrong I really love making these videos, but I do try to justify the amount of time I spend making these videos by the little bit of money RU-vid sends my way…should I do a patreon instead? I just feel like that would demand more time that I can’t really promise I’d have, ya know?
Yes, exactly! I’ve heard people say they want a star destroyer or a more accurately scaled shuttle, but to me they don’t have as much display potential.
Yes, he’s hasn’t been very busy since the early 2000’s. Since it was a parody I contacted “Weird Al” first, but he had already done 2 Star Wars songs and didn’t want to do a third, so I went right to the original source and called up Mr. Albarn. Classy guy, he sang it all right over the phone in one take.
Look at the Jabbas Playset. There's no roof but they made the top look finished so when you look down, it doesn't just look like unfinished plastic studs etc. I kinda wish the bar had a finished look at the top (not a ceiling).
I agree about Arleil's face being too brightly colored (he's a bat monster, whereas Lak is the classic werewolf man). Hoping Hasbro will color correct it but at this rate I don't even have hope that we'll reach his tier unlock, which sucks because he's my most wanted cantina figure. :( For brand new cantina figures, not counting Arleil, the one I want most is Reegesk. Big rat dude is a fantastic addition and we've never had a figure of his species before in any form. Tzizvvt and Atheloe are musts as well since we also haven't had their species represented in figure form yet. Otherwise, I'd gladly take the second Duros Chachi, the second Saurin Sai'torr, Braconner, Garouf, Rycar, Danz, the other spacemen, the off duty Bith and Swilla. The patrons who I think need a remake the most are Lak, Djas and Labria (inaccurate costumes, horribly outdated articulation) plus maybe Melas since the Ketwol gimmick is awful (though I'm not fond of these guys replacing my favorite character's scenes in the SE so not too big on them getting a new figure). Boshek probably deserves one too but honestly think the old figure is fine since when we see him he's standing around the bar anyway and the old figure does that just fine.
I'm backing the deluxe. It's not perfect. I wish it had complete exterior walls, a floor, and a roof. Roof and floor would be removable for those want the cantina to fit on shelves.

I’ve gotten really tired of channels that focus too much in negativity and have started blocking them, and unfortunately Retroblasting was one of those. Yeah, I get it, Hasbro didn’t give you what you want. They don’t give me what I want a lot of the time, but I don’t need a 2 hour video on why your butthurt about it. This here though, this type of content I would sit through for hours. You point out the issues that disappoint you, but you also offer solutions and options to improve upon the short comings, which is why you absolutely rock! Love the content!
This should be $79 at most. It's just a bar, an entrance and a bunch of alcoves, 100 cups, chairs, tables, accessories, things on the wall, droid detectors, more chairs and three $100 figures.
