That's what I remember Lambi Aubergine looks like. I used to work in a Haitian restaurant in NYC. Best food ever, besides Cuban (I'm Cuban ;-)), of course.
It’s Sept 2024 and I cooked this today. I followed the instructions to the tee and BABYYYY it is so so good. Thank you. I will be trying more of your other meals. And yes this is the best that I have tasted.
I surprised my Haitian husband tonight for his birthday. He has been craving legume, but has been too busy to make it. I added oxtail (his favorite), but otherwise followed your video and it was a hit! Thank you!!!
Great recipes! As for the all spice my mom usually put it in a piecr of foil and stick holes in it and then its placed in the pot. That way you get the flavor without having the all spice berries.
On my first visit to Nassau I had yellow grits and tuna and it was soooo delicious. Waiting for your tuna video and then I will make it together Thank you so much from Germany
Literally using your video as we speak to make a meal for my man with rice😂I knew certain parts of legume but was really looking for a video that incorporated beef specifically since like you, that’s all I be having sometimes😭meat expensive lol. Also chose this vid cause I love legume as well. Hate soft foods like labouyi and pan soup but this? Can’t live without when I get it. And you just taught me to make it myself?🫣yeah it’s over💪🏽👩🏽🍳just gained a new subscriber
A lot of the nasty scent is a buck (non neutered male goat) that wasn’t butchered properly. There is a gland that if you hit it, it makes the meat nasty. I have a specific butcher that I use who knows how to butcher game meat. We also neutered our buck kids unless the are being bought or used for breeding services. We raise and sell meat goats for the milk and the meat. Meat goats have high butterfat to their milk making taste closer to cows milk.
I think you’re not supposed to put salt in the beans when you’re initially cooking the beans because the beans won’t soften but you can put it once you are putting flavor in the beans. Husband was confused
