Tim Flanders lets me drive his incredible 1986 Mustang GT that's fitted with a single turbo 5.0 Coyote and runs low 8s in the quarter-mile. Come along for a ride with me and Tim!
the older i get the more im in love with the 4 eyed foxes, Stangs and Capris. my second car i ever owned was a 83 T-top charcoal metallic GT. id love to have that car back now. my first car was an ultra rare red 1985 Escort GT turbo, id love to have that one back too👍
I can't believe that I actually get to finally see who Tim Flanders is. I started following him when it had the 408w, the LS engine and now back to Ford power. I love this car and how clean Tim keeps it. I got me a '22 Mustang since I can't get away from Ford power and tech. Great video!
Hey hey man , you weren't smiling while you were driving until at least when you were coasting . You were paying attention to any and all details and characteristics of the car . Intensity , to say the least and I'm so jealous 😫 👍👍
Love those 85-86 gt's and with a turbo coyote wicked. Another great video and interview Evan. These vids almost seem like a live version of the old magazines we used to wait on every month. Keep these coming, love the format
Awesome video, that’s the most I’ve seen Tim on video! Great car! I’ve been friends with Tim for over 20 years and you won’t believe the blood sweat and tears he put into this car and it’s all paid off! Be exciting to see what you come up with Evan!
Man i Love it. Especially it being the 85-86 Front End, Out of All the Fox Body Mustangs, the 85/86,s are my Favorites, i just Love that Front End for those 2 Years. Had my 86 since 1994, Bought it because i wanted that Model Year with the 8.8, Wish the 86,s came with a Holley 4 Barrel Option, Like the 85,s. This Mustang is beautiful in White, Looks like my Brothers 85 White Cleveland Powered Mustang, My 86 is Black, was an original Blue LX 5.0 Hatchback, Will be going back to Blue, some year Down the Road, BBF Powered now, Will go Low 9,s on 275/60,s on Pump Gas. I've had mine for a long time, seen a few different Ford Engine Combos, 351 Windsor, then a few Clevelands, But went the N/A BBF Route while back, was always impressed with the Low End Power of the Big Block. Quite a Durable Engine, can make Nice Power, still be Streetable, to an extent.
Awesome ride I got a 85 Coupe just like it mine's white I love the car love that awesome coyote power keep on pulling the knot out of them bow ties with that Ford power forever great video revenue keep bringing step wonderful forward stuff we love it
Beautiful car, 4 eyes will always be my favorite style but im partial because i have an 84 coupe and i bought my dad an 85 GT that i just picked up a Gen 1 Coyote/6R for it.
I always loved the '79-'83 rear spoiler the best, even though it's the smallest, out of all of the four Fox rear hatch spoilers. I think he also has later model rear 'kick' panels, judging from those speaker pods.
Thanks Evan! It blows my mind of how reliable this beautiful 4 eyes is. Makes me mad as hell at myself for selling my 85 Gt 347 stroker for a 67 Gt 460 big block at 4 times the cost. I want a 85 or 86 now with a cyote or Godzilla.
Love that dependability & reliability of this combo. My brother had the same year but a notchback that was the white & black combo very similar but yes it was a 11.50 car not 8.20. You got to love the technology. My question for you Evan what is the quickest & fastest car you had the pleasure of driving?
Sick car; I would love to see you get an interview with Chuck seitsinger and his new small tire car. It's a coyote powered foxbody; I believe stock bottom end as well although I don't know what Gen motor.
Did he say what trans he is useing,i heard him say he has gear venders overdrive,i have been told that running a gear venders overdrive makes the trans stronger,is this true
I'm sure this is a fast mustang which are a dime a dozen and worth nothing if you sell it and is an abomination to the classic 5.0 Fox. But that's just my opinion. Of course I've owned 7 of them from 87 to 91. Remember this... there is always a faster car no matter where you are or the day of the week. But nothing is as cool as an 85-86 factory looking original engine Mustang GT. Arguing the H.P. and 1/4 mile time means nothing to me. Have a nice day!
